help : advise on finding a home

hi everyone,

against all good sense i decided to take this trip, I bought the flight and payed accommodation there, and i will go as soon as this temporary rent contract I now have runs out. This means I wont have a place when im back. I of course have a return ticket, therefore to make my life easier, I should already find a new flat beforehand.

But Im feeling the impulse to go without having a home to return to....

The only problem with this being that its feeding a self-destructive tendency towards wishful thinking, and denounce that at some level I hope that things between me and the man I may (or may not) meet again would go through some miraculous healing and - just like in a fairy tale - he would open the doors of his castle for me.
Of course, then, I would not need a flat back home...

Meanwhile a friend who is traveling for a while asked me if i would cover her rent and stay there. I like the place. And it would help her out. On the day we met I came home and asked :

What will happen if I move into her flat when this rent here terminates ? 59 (5) > 4

I could not take anything out of it, so I let it go.
4 > made me feel i was just following an impulse and that there was more about the situation I should first consider.
...royal residency ? who cries and who sweats ?

As I have to give her an answer by tomorrow, I sat again with the book and asked :

What happens if I just travel away and find a home when Im back? 42 (5,6) > 24
(and once again...)
what happens if I tell her I stay with her flat while she is gone? 61 (1,6) > 29



I dont know. It feels there is no strong inclination towards none of the scenarios. Most likely they will both bring about their advantages and problems... I see everything very blurred here, thats why I would appreciate some help...

42.5 - Trust kindness and dont worry. All will go well. Most likely one of my many friends hosts me when im back and it will be fun. Things fall into place somehow.
42.6 - is ill-omened in ways i cant grasp.
24 sounds like the new beginning im so much looking for...

on the other hand

61/29 - following this impulse brings me into the same pattern (never having my own place and always landing for just some months in someone elses)
61,1 - preparing your come back is good.
61,6 - is also ill-omened in ways i dont see how. A contract is words right? maybe this contract will somehow not be valid in my return....



...what would u do?

Hello Yoana,

I think Yi is suggesting to you to think about the mutual benefits between you and your friend if you do take the room Hex 59.5. As for the later hexagrams, it does suggest to me that you will, eventually have to find yourself a new place to stay.

Having said that, there seem to be warning in regards to your cast for Hex 61.1.6>29 .Do you have any idea when exactly is your friend returning from her trip, etc? You wouldn't want to be trapped in some form of contract, not able to leave the flat or she having to return a week later saying that her trip is cancelled and that you have to leave.......

Just my two cents.

Thanks Tifa... I spoke to her again because I had to ask for some days more before I give her my final word - I cant seem to get any clarity on this. We wouldnt have any contract, I would just stay as long as she is travelling, and when she is back I would find myself another place.
...Its just that 42/24 seems much more appealing than 61/29 - and yet leaving like that just sounds like the careless thing to do.

Can I ask you where exactly do u read this :

you will, eventually have to find yourself a new place to stay.

I dunno, I dunno - any other experiences with 42,6 or 61,6?

Before entering 2012 I've decided to answer unanswered mail, go over the small tasks in the to-do list that never get done, give stuff away and - bring my online iching posts to a closure.

Im trying to go over everything I've posted in this forum to confirm that I always posted the OUTCOME. A lot of people never do and I find that a pity, it would be brilliant to know how some answers played out for each specific situation.

In this case!

I didnt get that one then and I still dont get it now. But given what happened next I read it now as a "Your Not Knowing will just dissipate", as in, the answer will just make itself clear, as it did.

FOR THE SCENARIOS:

What happens if I just travel away and find a home when Im back? 42 (5,6) > 24

Thats what i did. I went, it went terribly bad, I had hope to stay there but it was not possible, and I came back disheartened, had no place to stay and just crashed sofas until I found a really really nice flat. It took me ages and those times were really unstable, but it also brought me closer to the friends who hosted me, and then the flat i finally found was indeed marvelous.

I didnt do it - I had too much hope that things would work out with the guy I was visiting abroad and that i would just stay with him. It didnt happen.
