Dear Clarity members,

I do hope someone has time to answer me.
I am in some trouble (have been for a while.)It was mostly self inflicted.
Just before I tell you my results I have tried to meditate before but am very nervous about all this so I am never sure of the results being influenced by my nerves.
I feel in a rut I don' t know which way to turn.Or am I asking about the wrong things?
Please someone I would appreciate if someone could comment on this part of my post.
How can you tell if negative influences are effecting your judgement?

Is this a good use of my money to take this degree course now?
(This is a social care type of course.)
I am over 40. But working in this field.
I got hexagram 32 line 4

Should I redo the lesser exam which is also not easy for me which I failed .
(Only just)
It is cheaper would give me a goal could be used.
hex 51 line 1,4

Should I focus on my old career path which is long dead.?
Hexagram 62 unchanging .Asked again got hex 50 line 5
Felt first time I was too nervous.

So I think hexagram 32 looks bad I waste my money doing this one.
Maybe revising the old exam is better? My opinion on this old exam better.
I asked yesterday and got 51.4 for new degree.I have asked to much.

Thanks for all previous replies.
I did want to update old post where the result had worked out as Trojana said but couldn' t find post.

You find old postings of yours by going to your account and click the link:

If you had to give an instant / quick answer: which course would you decide for right now, in this very minute?

Or you click on your name and look for 'profile' and then in profile you can find 'latest started thread's. If you scroll down far enough you can find all your own threads.

You never need to worry about 'influencing' results. You can ask in any frame of mind. I Ching will always address the true underlying issue is so it is true that at times it's going to be addressing your state of mind but that isn't the same thing as 'influencing' it.

Not sure what you mean by 'negative influences' here but in general I don't think you need to be anxious about consulting the I Ching unless at times you don't feel it helps because it is too complicated for you ? There are times I think where a person is really so mentally over burdened they just can't cope with Yi and then it can be helpful to put it away and make choices like ordinary people do ;) Other times Yi can really help when someone is mentally exhausted but there have been times for me where I've needed to put it down for a while.

It doesn't look to be a good use of the money given persistence in this course won't necessarily pay off long term.

hex 51 line 1,4

51.1.4>2. Yes why not do that. The only thing stopping you is a state of nerves as you described but line 1 says you can cope. Don't let exam nerves throw you off balance. I wonder if that is what line 4 is a warning of. Do you become frozen like a rabbit in the headlights ?

Should I focus on my old career path which is long dead.?
Hexagram 62 unchanging

Are you able to ? Is it even possible ? Are you strong enough right now ? This isn't a yes or a no, it's your choice. I recommend you look at the 62uc thread will link https://www.onlineclarity.co.uk/fri...eriences-with-Unchanging-Castings-Hexagram-62 but my sense of this is it may not really be an option anyway if you look at the details. Things might have changed so much on that path you couldn't resume it easily.

Asked again got hex 50 line 5
Felt first time I was too nervous.

You do not have to be calm or in any state of zen like detachment to consult the I Ching. In fact I think enforced calmness gets in the way. 62uc was your answer ,no need to ask again.

So I think hexagram 32 looks bad I waste my money doing this one.

I asked yesterday and got 51.4 for new degree.I have asked to much.

51.4 can show times where old wounds and fears really get the better of you and immobilise you. I wonder if you may need to go a bit easier on yourself and recognize old hurts from the past and so on still leave scars that mean it just isn't easy for you, can be too much for you to launch into new things.

My opinion is you are better off doing the lesser, easier exam, 62uc says that to me too. I'm looking at all the answers together, getting a theme and I think you need to take care not to over burden yourself unnecessarily.

....and er haha just realized how apt 51.4 is for the title of your post 'I'm stuck in a rut'...that is literally what line 4 says, it's not easy to get out because it's deep stuff that still holds you where it once held you
