Help me with a relationship question, please!

Hi, everyone,
I am new here and I am not very used to Yi Jing. I hope you can help me understand its answer better.

I have a problem with a friend I care about very much. He misunderstood some of my actions and stopped communicating with me completely (it was only via email). I am terribly hurt.

I asked Yi Jing: "What to do?"
I got 53, unchanging.
I guess I should just wait for further developement; we will see each other in a few months, not before. Untill then, there is nothing I can do.

I asked also: will I ever sort out this misunderstanding?
I got 32, changing line 6 - transforms in 50
I feel like I have to persevere in my truth and not be shaken in it. What does 50 promise? I have difficulties with it. It is a good hexagram, but what does it mean exactly in this question?

Can you help me here, please? I would appreciate it very much.

Line 6 is about the relevation of truth in the context of 32. As you pointed out, you have to persevere in it with or without the understanding of your friend. To allow truth to surface, you do not much control over it. Time is an ally here. Be patient and steady (50).

Please keep in mind that I'm a novice, but Yly2pg1's sentence that 'time is an ally here' stuck out to me; it reinforces one of the names I've seen for hexagram 53: Gradual Progress.

Maybe in time your friend will come around. He'll realize that it was a misunderstanding, or he'll let you explain, or even if the light doesn't dawn about the incident itself, he'll get over being so angry or hurt about it...in some way you'll 'gradually' make 'progress.'

Sometimes when I get 32.6, I get the distinct impression Yi is telling me to settle down and stop beating my head against the wrong wall or something.

Sort of like this:

Moonrise: What to do?
Yi: Nothing. Give it time; progress will occur.
Moonrise: Will I ever sort out this misunderstanding?
Yi: See previous answer!

That's what I usually think it means when I get that line, anyway.
