Hello, Im new to this forum and this is my first post.
I just had a long talk with my boyfriend, and a week ago we had a very difficult argument. So I asked the Iching:

"How will my relationship with X develop?"
Yis answer: 3.6>42

I would love to hear how you interpret Yis answer.

I'd say it means you both need to keep perspective. Arguments and emotional hijackings blow things out of proportion. Sometimes becomes always, seldom becomes never. Although they get the unexpressed things expressed, they need to be seen as useful only for that and nothing more.
If you cannot achieve that between you, Hexagram 3 explicitly authorizes the use of helpers like friends and counselors.

I was hoping to get some help interpreting line 6. I wonder if you see the conversation we had as the change that will lead to a breakthrough, or if we need to make a change to avoid tears of blood?

This is what I think:

There may be some tears of blood, (confusion & despair) and this may cause you or him to want to give up or separate, because maybe things don't seem to be working out for you, right now. But I’d say your relationship is evolving/expanding (hex 42) into something else. This is just a transition, not defeat. Difficulty at the beginning of a relationship must not be mistaken for a permanent/final condition. I believe that the I-ching is referring to ' growing pains' here. The relating hexagram is 42: expansion, increase; very positive. Have faith!

I received the same answer for my question about my relationship. Unfortunately, the line 3.6 means the worst pain ever. it's the most painful line together with line 47.5. I think the answer is growing pains for real. Be ready for a lot of cry and pain till you can't breath. Really sorry. 42 it doesn't give you a hope.

I asked months ago about my relationship, we had a lot of quarrels and I asked if we manage to overcome them. 9.2.3/42. We didn't we just broke up.
