help newbie hex.38 changing 64 pls :)

sometimes the Iching are scary how they answer almost straight to your thoughts...
and sometimes are so hidden that is hard to make any sense out of it...

my question is relationship related ..im in a situation where im not sure whether to wait for this lost love to come back or just let go ..

so i asked
what is best for me to do about it ;wait for him to come back or let go and forget about it

here s what i got
.38 :current situation : polarise opposites. Keep things separate and estranged..so dont proceed now with an important move or transition. it is also what i feel i should do-keep still- at an intuitive level...(he left me for another woman.)

changing line 1:
‘Regrets vanish.Lost horse, no running after it, it returns of itself.
See hateful people,No mistake.’

can i count it as iching suggestion to wait cos he will come back?
like the loss will be recouped so i need to be patient?

and is the woman he s with him now the 'hateful people'?
i dont wanna hate anyone but i cant help hurt feelings...

the Hex turns into 64 ..so i take it as i should wait and prepare for an important change..but dont proceed now with any important move

any input on this ?

I think you're being advised to let him go, but not necessarily to forget about him. Go on about your business and he very well may return on his own.
I don't think the "hateful people" pertains in this situation. I think the I Ching only mentions them as an example of how one ought keep their individuality in all circumstances. Just as you ought not run after someone you love (someone you feel is too far away), likewise you shouldn't forcefully try to shake off someone you hate (someone you feel has come in too close). In both instances , whether you're dealing with someone who has gone too far away or someone who is coming in too close, you don't try to bring anything about by force.

Hex 38.1 > 64

This says do not go running after him, leave him be, if he is meant to be with you then he will return of his own accord but if the relationship is not meant to be then let him go, otherwise you will only cause problems for yourself. Hex 64 is saying the situation is up in the air, so expect nothing from him.

i do not try to contact him... i was told to do some magick but i chose not to. the line says return so thats where my hopes lay...
i know trying to force events would just backfire on me so i let him be and not talk to him...
