It’s kind of a big purchase for me but I’m tired of the pandemic and not being able to go to the gym. I’m thinking of getting a fancy-ish exercise bike that comes with classes (I once belonged to the same gym of these classes and actually really enjoyed them so that’s one possible upside)

I asked about getting the bike and received:

31.3.5 > 16

I asked a second question (where would I find myself in relation to my goals, six months from now, if I were to get it)

58.1.2.4 > 8

it’s really 31.3 that gives me pause because I don’t know if it means I’m doing an online shopping thing of being influenced by something I won’t use. On the other hand, it could be literal since it says “affect one’s groin/thigh” and that’s sort of literally what using it would be like. I would also be “following” the classes on a screen. I can’t tell if these answers have enough gravity or are mostly about enthusiasm. Then again, it would help me to have a high energy enthusiastic influence which the classes would be (definitely part of why I would get it.)

Any thoughts?

Found an older thread on 31.3.5> 16

Seems to me when 16 comes up, looking at my own readings, it addresses questions of motivation, not just /are you motivated/ but the origins of the motivation. Like does it have enough steam to follow through on the work it will take? Where is the desire coming from?

Basically I interpret relating hex 16 as a sign to dig into motivations. And if you like where it's coming from, muster up the steam!

So perhaps in your situation it could be addressing the motivation to work out, like why you are looking to exercise [your thighs 😝] and in unearthing that you might find your answer for whether or not the machine meets your needs.

For example if the joy of taking classes together with others is the largest part of wanting to exercise, rather than your fitness in isolation, the machine could prove disappointing?

Best of luck, big financial decisions can be tricky!

Thank you for responding! I almost forgot I posted this. I actually decided shortly after not to get it. I concluded something very similar to your last paragraph, that this really wouldn’t fill that void at all and maybe I wanted a sort of “fix” for the situation and would be disappointed. I did a reading about what type of exercise to do or what to do get moving again and received 22.1 > 52 and I interpreted that as some thing I enjoy like hiking (combination of road and beauty and feet), dancing, and doing things that are more gentle and for enjoyment. Not rushing. It’s getting to be winter so not sure what will happen with the hiking in the short term but I did go to the first two days in a row this past week. It was lovely!
