Hello everyone!

I am extremely new to all of this and I hope to find someone who can help me for guidance.
As of right now, i'm starting from scratch. I've hit rock bottom last year. Pretty much lost everything I had. Went into severe depression which also had it's consequences in terms of my physical and mental health. The way my life is right now. I do nothing. I am very much a loner. The aspiration to mingle with people has always been there, except finding someone with whom I have an affinity has become very rare for me these days. Everything I was fond of in the past has no appeal to me anymore --grown out of it. And I am desperate to get my life back together where I don't have to wake up in the morning thinking "what can I do that I haven't already done before?" I am freelance webdesigner (of 15 years) which I can't support anymore. My dislike to this job has been growing alot and I am desperate to try something new and different. My feeling is more towards art and music, something I have always wanted to expand upon. Problem is though. With the very little money that I have, I don't have enough money to invest in myself, neither goto university (i've quit school to at the age of 15, been working in multimedia ever since and now 29).

Please, if there is somebody who could help me with this, well, I would be very grateful. As much as I want to get to the bottom of this. I will try and think of other questions to ask Iching that I maybe have forgot, or not thought of, of asking.

Thank you, and bless you :hugs:

Many of your questions carry assumptions that may not be true such as something about you needs changing or something is holding you back and so on so I will just focus on the first 2 questions.

56 uc... Unchanging hexagrams can manifest in odd ways so just going with my instinct here. You asked 'what is my current position ?'. It seems it's one of a traveller, you are moving through foreign landscapes, maybe perpetually. If that is your position then the advice of 56uc holds. Don't get hung up on minor things, understand you are on a journey. Often I think it is the case that those who find no lasting connections in their lives, are so because they are still on the move...and being on the move means you are actually going somewhere. So I think the biggest thing to take in here is not that you have failed in anyway but that you are travelling light...er because you are travelling. Doesn't have to be literal travel obviously....but you are moving through unknown territories in some way. So you need to keep your mind on that. Nothing is permanent here so don't get hung up on thinking they are or that things will never change. Once you understand and tell yourself you are on a journey you may start to feel better. Travellers often don't know anyone well. It's not a fault it keeps them free to move on when they need to.

You asked "what can I do to feel better ?" 49.5>55. This is a lovely answer that tells me this is already happening. Something has already changed in you and it is fortunate. The answer suggest you harbour no doubts about where you find yourself.

I've glanced at the other answers and the thing you need to release I think is that sense of desperation. 59 uc means you have to let go somewhat. When things fall apart you have to let go in order for them to come back together again.

19.6 again it sounds like less is more as 19.6>41. I don't think huge heroic actions are required just a change in how you talk about this situation to yourself. Don't get sucked in to desperation thinking. A traveller wakes in the morning and may not know where he is headed he just knows he is on the move.

I see 34.1.5>28 as you may be pressurising yourself too much. You need to give yourself a bit of space, no pressure

31.1.5>16 something that you feel deeply drawn to that enthuses you. having said that I don't think it's the time for permanent decisions as you got 56 for the first answer. 31 suggests you leave space to find out what moves you at this time. leaving space means not forcing yourself in any direction

41.2 you may have the idea great sacrifices are necessary of you but they aren't.

Overall ease off yourself and redefine the situation as less one of desperation and more one of exploration.

I just noticed the question is framed as 'getting my life back on track' yet your answers gently ease you away from a definite track now since you are on the move. It just isn't time to settle determinedly to one thing. Why not think in terms of temporary measures...and ease off the pressure to get 'on track'
59uc is not about getting on the track but getting off it...or rather the track dispersing in a cloud....
If your track has dispersed it is okay to let it. You don't have to find a replacement permanent track straight away. You can drift a bit and see how you feel. The 31 answer really does suggest you need to see how you feel. However 49.5 already shows you have made some big change already that you need not have doubts about.

Dear Trojan.

Thank you so so much for your reply! From the answers you have given to me, I cannot but think and feel that I am on some spiritual journey. My gut feeling is that I am waiting for something. What ever it might be, I just don't know. However, the waiting is tiresome. And by that, I mean, I am not doing anything. As in, there isn't much to do! Apart from visiting 1 friend from time to time with whom I have an affinity with. Reason why I say that, is basically I can only account to that as my highlights of the day which I look most forward to. It's the wide spaces in between of where I do nothing which is tiresome.

For the past couple of months I've often wondered just to leave everything behind and go nomad style! The way the economy is right now, and how I feel so disconnected with society gives me absolutely no reason just to sit here and do nothing while I watch the world move infront of my eyes. 56uc! lol the traveler!

Dear Trojan, I thank you again :bows: i'll ponder a bit again. Might play again with some iching for other answers to. The iching it self is mighty interesting and from the answers you have given to me i've learned a bit about iching to :bows:

Merci beaucoup

Actually, the I Ching says that you already know the answer to that question and you don't need divination to find out! Sometimes the I Ching is a little in advance of us, and so I would say that if you don't already know how to feel better, then you will know very soon.

There's a lot of creativity still happening in the world whatever the media says about the economy.

Your 31 answer suggested to follow where you feel drawn to, that is to allow attraction to work.

I once heard someone say they felt no direction in life, no enthusiasm for anything and then realised they had dismissed all those things that they were drawn to. If you dismiss all your natural enthusiasms you will find a lack of interest in life. I think your 31.1.5>16 is so much about re finding what you enjoy and just doing it whether it 'leads anywhere' or not, just do it .

You said

. My feeling is more towards art and music, something I have always wanted to expand upon. Problem is though. With the very little money that I have, I don't have enough money to invest in myself, neither goto university

...well 16 is about how music affects us. You don't need to go to University to explore art and music. Where I live there are all kinds of courses run by community projects or small colleges and so on who all offer art and music at low rates for those with low income. So just explore what is taking place in your local environment and go along. You can also just start doing these things anyway. You can get some art materials...any materials and start doing it. If you keep all your ideas about what to do in your head you will always find objections as to why they won't work. As the saying goes "argue your limitations and sure enough they are yours". So if you have the gift of much time at the moment feel free to fill it in exploring things you would like to do...which you say is art and music. I think once you get moving, get into the flow of it, you will feel much better.

As Ginnie said though 49.5 does show you are already on track in some important way

What courses are around locally ? Not at university but in the libraries and arts centres and colleges...just start going along to things, like an explorer, like a traveller in a strange land, which is where you are (hex 56)

Another way to get back into life may be voluntary work. Helping others in some way that appeals to you. Again more exploring.

I would like to say thankyou to Trojan for this very useful post. To DiveOO I would suggest getting a piece of paper and just 'scribbling' I did this once and produced a really amazing picture - it showed clouds, feathers, a pathway with a weird cat sitting on it, and all sots of weird and wonderful shapes. I put an eye in the centre and called it 'Dreaming' everyone admires it. Why not also take a walk in the country, do absulutely nothing exept enjoy the air, birdsong, trees, weeds, etc. Also a Bach flower remedy which might help is Wild Oat which helps you find your path in life. Why not look up the Bach flower remedies on the internet. Best wishes, meigga
