Help with interpretation

Hi everyone,I hope you’re all well! I have been waiting for someone to contact me on a project we plan to work on. Last I spoke to him, he told me to follow up and contact him again after the 25th of Dec. I sent him a msg on the 29th and have not received a reply yet.I asked the Yi, does X have plans on getting back to me? And rec’d hexagram 13.5 changing to 30.I then asked the Yi, will X return my message and got 58 unchanging.Any interpretations would be appreciated! Thank you so much.

Hexagram 58 is an image of two lakes restoring each other - like ideas flowing back and forth - but unchanging it could be saying the ideas don't flow and thus this could mean he doesn't return your message. (Perhaps you will need to contact him again?) I hope you will update this thread and let us know how things eventually worked out in order to give us further insight into 58.uc.

For your own peace of soul and for success it is very important not to give in to the feeling of discouragement or to rush things here. 13.5 is really a promising line but also referring to difficulties at the outset. Nevertheless, your results 13.5 and 58 are a good omen.

Hi Equinox,I think you hit the nail on the head with your first interpretation, actually! X responded to my msg today! He said, “let’s get on the phone tomorrow...” And I asked him what time I should give him a call. He then told me to text him in the afternoon before giving him a ring as a head’s up, and I said ok. I’m happy and excited about this project. I will let you all know how the progress goes. I also know hexagram 58 can refer to “joy.” Maybe it predicted how I would feel after getting a response from him?

Hi Rosada, I did get a response from him today, thanks! He told me he would like to discuss things over the phone tomorrow. I do feel quite happy to hear from him, and that we are getting the ball rolling with this project.

Thanks for the update! I wonder if 58. JOY uc as a response to your yes-or-no question would be the IC's way of saying yes? Or perhaps it was a reference to the back and forth routine (call? No text then call) you are going through now to actually have the conversation.
