Hi all! I've been reading up on the hexagrams but I'm still new to casting and would love some help with a recent reading.
A friend of mine recently had surgery. She's going to be okay but she'll have to go through some recovery and rehabilitation for a few weeks. I've already decided I'm going to call her up and visit her more often than usual, as she'll be completely housebound for a couple weeks. I asked the Yi what I could do (or how I could be) to help her out and got 58.1.2.4 > 8. Lines 58.1 and 58.2 seem to suggest that I can best help out by staying positive, cheerful, and happy whenever we talk or get together, and that I have to be sincere about it and not just faking it. Maybe I need to not dwell on the negatives of her situation too much. 8 makes sense here, I'll be going to visit her from time to time.
The line that has me a bit confused is 58.4. In general, it seems to be about finding joy in activities that could be dangerous or hazardous to health. But maybe this isn't only about physical risks? I wonder if it's warning me to be happy but not so cheerfully helpful that others will try to take advantage? Any insights about this reading would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
