Dear clarity friends

Someone's birthday is coming up and I have to decide what present to choose. I have no clue what present to make but I know that I'd like it to be personal, in the sense that it shows that I've taken the time to think about it and to make a choice. Making presents can often be a delicate issue so I decided to ask the Yi how to decide what present to make in this particular ocassion. And the answer was Hex. 1.2,4 > 37.

I have to admit that I got this answer yesterday evening and haven't had the time to really try to understand and to interpret the answer. I'll make some time later during the day to do this.

It could be that I could glean something from the answer if I take parts of it literally (e.g. something that won't just be used once or twice but something that will endure in time? Just a thought). Or, perhaps the oracle is answering my question, i.e. "how to decide..." Or, even that the Yi is trying to tell me something else. So I'll have to think things through.

In the meantime, I would appreciate any thoughts on the matter especially since I feel that some creative or innovative thinking re. interpretation may be called for in this situation.

Any ideas?

Yes, it has crossed my mind.

Actually, posing the question and receiving an answer has got me thinking harder than I would have otherwise. And all sorts of things come to my mind. When I am able to sit somewhere quietly later in the day and ponder on the answer, I think I'll have more ideas/possibilities to think about. And I'll share my thoughts here, on this forum.

I'm also thinking that it's possible that when I go shopping/browsing some time later in the week, well hopefully, I'll see something and it will "click" as a result of this process. That will be synchronicity playing out I think. But who knows what'll happen.

I know people come to this forum with more serious questions but, still, if anyone has any other insights, I'd be grateful to read about them.

Maybe it suggests something of a very practical nature which they can use in their home could be something electrical.

Er well it was rather tongue in cheek, my suggestion. Hmm but something i have done, not using the Yi when i wanted to get gifts people would really like was to go into a kind of meditation, eyes closed, asking for an image of a gift that would make the person pleased. I actually got quite strong visual flashes of different items I wouldn't have thought of otherwise. I went with this and got the things i had seen in my mind. It did seem to me all the gifts i gave that xmas were pretty successful I don't think anyone was shamming delight lol. Actually it saved me time wandering around shops too because it seemed already having a clear image of thing, it being sort of presented in the 'vision' made it much easier to find anyway. Another thing is each person said something like "oh thats strange i was thinking i wanted one of those the other day" etc so i think there was something to it. I think if your intent in the 'meditation' is to give happiness to the person the images can come quite easily, I think that is more important than focusing the 'right' thing.

I thought I'd posted a reply but I guess I didn't since I don't see it anywhere.

I'd like to thank you both for your suggestions and I'll try to "meditate" to get an image of what gift is best. I couldn't make sense of the answer in regard to my question anyway.

Nice one. Not that I'll get anything like that -it wouldn't be the right kind of gift in this case.

I suppose one can think of many different things if only one's mind is creative.
