Hello,
I have viewed and read the shared readings in this wonderful site
for three years now and have decided to get off the fence (so to speck)
and ask a question for myself that hopfully you wonderful people can help
me with...
How do I approach gaining a fulltime job in the work force?
I recieved hex 22. 1,2 <18.
I have spent the last few years having 5 part-time jobs in
different fields and would like now to just have one position
as all the chopping and changing weekiy is wearing me down.
I took them all on as it was the only jobs I could get and really
needed the money to live (A marrying maiden situation)
But feel now the time is right to go for just one fulltime position.
My plan is to door knock this time.
Is hex 22 saying this is the right appoach?

Can anyone help?

"How do I approach gaining a fulltime job in the work force?" Hex 22.1.2 > 18.

Well 22.1 sounds like knocking on doors, as opposed to "riding in a carriage" which might be using your connections for job leads.

22.2 sounds like you might like to get a makeover, haircut and color, manicure, some interview clothes, etc. Make a beautiful presentation, maybe spiff up the resume.

18 sounds like you need to be ready for a hectic, non normal schedule for a while as it will take considerable energy on your part to achieve escape velocity. You will have to get out of your confort zone, maybe working crappy hours or something. But it can be done.

Good luck, I know the feeling but the best time to look for a job is when you have one!

hex 22 1,2 to 18

Thanks Lavala,

Yes, I have my appearance sorted
am working to get CV sorted to match!
So thats lines 1 & 2 taking care of in 22.
But what puzzles me is Hex 18
At present I work all different hrs, days, on call etc
So why I wanted a fulltime position was to get set hrs eg: 9 to 5
weekends free etc.
hex 18 doesn't look good for this or is the process to gain a job like this
going to be 18ish?

Well when you land something, just because it's a fulltime job doesn't mean you get the 9-5 shift everybody else wants! You're at the bottom of the totem pole, so you might have to work nights and holidays. The upside of that is it is way less political on the night shift.
But expect to be taken out of your confort zone, maybe to have to clean up someone else's work mess they left behind on their way out the door, something like that. I like the paradigm that no one wants to clean toilets - I have had jobs where I did that which was way below my paygrade, just because I want to work in a place that's clean!

True Lavalamp,
Thats what I do best is cleaning up peoples mess etc..
One of the jobs I do now is cleaning toilets!
Cleaned 2 wards toilets of a rest home in 3 hrs, thats 72 on my hands and
knees! I found it easy, no one else would touch it.
But you know what would be right out of my comfort
zone? It would be leaving this for other people to do now
and get a position where it is not my job to do!
Funny how we see work..
In one of the other positions I'm Brand Ambassador for a computer
company, I'm always getting told off for doing work that is quote
"below my station"!!

Point of hex 18 to me might be that all
I will be doing in my next position is looking good
and aloud to enjoy doing nothing, but what I choose!

Now thats whats out of my comfort zone to learn

Finding work

Just a follow up in my quest for work....
Lavalamp
Well I decided to appoach the companies I work
for at the moment and I told them that they needed
me to come in and fix the ploblems that I could see!
I gave them the date and time and what I would be doing
and wola! they said thats fine, come! That easy!!

So for me, this is out of comfort zone to ask or should I say tell,
for what I want
Its not fulltime work at this stage, but it is something toward
it! and maybe it is teaching my as you said too share my not
so hidden brightiness! may it grow brighter..

Ruthee,
You are acting the role of a self-employed person
or business owner
to approach the companies in that manner,
with that self-assurance.

Are you sure you want a full-time job?
Maybe you are at heart a business owner
and are just beginning to find your best clients,
the ones who say, "Yes," and "That's fine."

Sincerely,
Ginnie
