I recently met someone who I am really interested in. Well, had a couple of dates, seemed to go well. I'm wondering if there will be another one, and I was thinking I might need to initiate by asking him out. So asked the I-Ching what the outcome would be if I asked him out,and got Hex 36.1<15. I feel like if I ask him out, I'm going to get "humbled" or rejected. Then again, I've asked the I-Ching several questions about the potential of this relationship. I keep getting Hex 15...it seems positive, but then does it mean that I'm just going to get humbled by the whole experience? I can take rejection, I feel like I have nothing left to lose anymore by making a move. Anyone else have insight?
Hex 36 sort of says to me that I need to wait it out, but I'm confused...Maybe I need to wait for him to make the move?

Want to first warn you that in the Headline/Subject says 36.3 and not 36.1 and that can be misleading. I was starting to write some feedback on what I felt from 36.3 until I gathered it does not change into 15... Just so other people also pay attention...

so 36.1 > 15 ?

Im only on my second year of studying the book, but nevertheless If I would have gotten this answer I would not make a move. It feels like something is sincerely obscuring his brightness, his feelings are there but are modest (thats how I read 36/15). The line suggests that if you take this flight you loose one wing, which isnt structurally damaging to your process together, but also not very beneficial. You need to make a small exercise of contention, the symbolical 3 days without eating.

In alternative, its a bit silly, but it did cross my mind - this answer can also be saying he will reply affirmatively but u should go for something modest (15) and unrelated to food. Also, don't take any flight together :)
I also found the idea of "if you travel dont eat"... If you go for it and he says yes, don't make it into a dinner-date, go for a movie or something (no popcorns!).

Hope it helps!
Good luck

:)

Sorry about the misleading headline...
I realized after I wrote the post, but was unable to edit the headline.
So, I took this as a sign not to move, but being the impulsive person
I sometimes am, I went ahead and asked...still waiting for a reply.
I guess we'll find out, time will tell.
Luckily, the request did not involve food!
Thanks for the reply...
