I asked:

Will I get a ruling in my favor in the matter of x from the Supreme Court?

I received:

Hexagram 37, Unchanging

Ok, so this is a matter which does involve a family matter and the appeal to be ruled on involves monies owed. The original matter held in the lower court was ruled in my favor and it was simultaneously ruled that the counter-claims held no merit and opposing failed to prove their plaint.

Now the Supreme Court didn't want to rule on this related matter until the lower court had first ruled on the greater matter. Technically, since I have won the greater matter, I should also be find favor in this matter. But I am nervous. It's very important for my family.

Here's one of the reasons I am nervous: this is being litihated in a foreign court. You could say three countries are involved as I am the Defendant and am American. Plaintiff hails from elsewhere. The Court is obviously the third country. The nervousness comes from "The Clan" aspect as culture has played a huge role in the matter overall and not always in a good way for me. Lots of stereotypes about litigious Americans among others. To boot, I am a female. The fair sex does not, in general, fare well there. I am sort of hoping 37 doesn't mean...well, let's not havd that thought.

On the positive side, perhaps it's referring to a unanimous decison??? Or perhaps sticking by and supporting the lower court's ruling in the greater matter by rulikg likewise?!

It's been a 14 year litigation... Other source of anxiety.

For me, it's a head scratcher other than the obvious reference to it being a family matter.

Any thoughts or musings to quell my nerves?

The Judgement of 37 says that the woman profits. So the ruling will be in your favour.
The Image says that "the superior man has substance in his words And duration in his way of life". So since a lower court ruled in your favour, then this will continue now.

My only slight doubt would be if your family are all united in this against you, then they might win.

Wishing you the very best. In terms of 37 unchanging I agree with the above poster:

Blofeld:The Family. Women's persistence brings reward.

Liu:The Family. A woman's perseverance benefits.

Ritsema/Karcher: Dwelling People. Harvesting: woman Trial

Diamanda,

Thank you for taking time to reply. It did bring me a lot of the peace I was seeking as did foxx's.

I am going to say what happened below, but I thought was an interesting dimension so pulled it out for those who may look at this thread:

In my case, my entire family is involved and we are all united. Thankfully! Whew!

What happened was this:

1). The Supreme Court did in fact all gather which was a concern since too many times not all of the Justices appear.

2). Interestingly, neither my lead counsel nor opposing counsel appeared. I was not at all happy about this, but it appears to have been related to strategy. Honestly, I can't see how.

3). The SC as a group wanted to hear the argument and decide. Opposing counsel wanted to delay and to argue the case. They made it clear that they felt my instructing counsel who was there was more than capable of arguing the case regardless of lead counsel being absent. Still opposing, hoping to drag the matter, persisted with much chastising from the Justices. They said the matter should have been ended long ago.

4). But given that the law allows, another date was set for argument in May. They made it clear that they wouldn't tolerate another delay.

So what did 37 unchanging mean in the end? Hmmm.

I can only say that at this point I believe it meant:

a). I did persist. For persisting, it seems that I got to understand that the Court is finding favor with me, at least on the face of it. They at least granted additional time. Of course, arguments are summarized. They already know what is up for argument and what the positions are. So I did benefit in both their comments and in that progress was made because they made it clear to opposing that they won't suffer further delays. That's definitely in my favor.

b.) In the end, the matter is going back to the Court, but at a latter date. Could it be interpreted that Yi was saying this by giving 37 with no lines. Like it's going back to those Justices (family)? So you will persist, but you won't receive an order this time, but get another date?

c). One interesting thing was the court papers were missing--not located. Can you imagine this? This date was set a year ago. Don't know whether or how this may fit in. The papers were with "the family."

But, honestly, I feel like it's like this:

Keep persisting, in the end, an order will come in your favor. And now that I have gotten a preview of the Court's mindset on the matter, it does seem likely that I might indeed find favor with the court.

So, though it's absolutely mind-bending and frustrating, it seems if I persist, the cast may be an actual prediction of what's to come.

Thanks so much to both of you for replying! It did bring me a lot of hope and calm. Something that beleaguered people in legal matters in David and Goliath type circumstances really need!

So sorry for the delay but you’re right to think that persistence will ultimately end with the matter in your favor. Keep hope alive!

Thanks for the update and kind words! What a complex issue... I really like your analysis of 37 unchanging, also its unchanging nature may be showing that the situation (for now) remained pretty much as it was ('familiar'). Please do persist 😊

Diamanda,

You gotta love the pun--"familiar" - - and, in this case, all too! , 😉

Let's see how it all pans out in the end!
