This question is in regard to, as RL Wing puts it: "You may feel drawn to certain people or endeavors, although this may not be what you planned for yourself. Give in to this impulse. Larger and invisible forces are at work here, and good fortune will come by submitting to them." I do indeed feel drawn, even enamored by this beautiful young woman. We can't talk too much, and it is in a very limited form due to safety and security reasons being that she is somewhat of a celebrity. But it isn't so much the fame I like about her. I am not very fond of her talent although, I can respect it. She sings, and I am not too much into it, although I do like what she does. It's not her style, I just don't listen to music all that much. I am a writer and artist. I am VERY good at what I do. This woman attracts me because I love her soul. She is exceptional. All the girls who are interested in me are, well not so developed in their own goals. I feel they want to soak from me and gain from me the energy I worked hard into making my life work. So the girl I am interested in doesn't know me well, and I want to gain her attention some, and I was thinking of a way to capture it.

I asked the oracle the following question: What would be the effects on J if I drew a portrait of her and posted it on my webpage?

I got back 45.2.4 --> 29

The changing line fit very much what I am trying to do overall. line two states, "You may feel drawn to certain people or endeavors, although this may not be what you planned for yourself. Give in to this impulse. Larger and invisible forces are at work here, and good fortune will come by submitting to them.

The fourth line is really cool. In this position you gather with others to serve a larger goal. Such sacrifice will meet with personal success.

The part I don't get is why does it change into something so ominous as 29? The only difficulty I can see is the age difference between me and J, and that isn't really a big deal with so many people marrying today with vast years between them. Honestly, I see more of a danger with her family than with us, or with the fans who some are so gaga over her. Someone said to me in another reading I posted here that 29 can be seen as falling on love. We can match on many levels, bonding on many levels.

With what I can propose, there is great potential for great good to be done on a global scale. This is an actuality and not a metaphor. We only have to join hands, hopefully as a married couple bonded together. I am sincere about this. I am not married not. neither is she. She indicates romantic interest. So, what's the big deal with it turning into 29, unless the oracle just needed to tell me of line two changing lines, which are great omen.

But, after some research, I found 29 can also mean:

29.0, Repeated Exposure
Be true
To keep the heart secure is fulfillment
Advance will have value
and

29.X, (Overall Image)
Water is ever arriving
Repeated exposure
The noble young one, accordingly,
continues in character and conduct
Practicing teaching and serving

Hello Davy! Looking at lines 2 and 4, I think this casting hints at a connectiom between the 2 of you initiated by this portrait, and that she would appreciate this gesture. I don't see that it is necessarily a romantic connection though. Although I can see how you might see that with 29 in there. I have an idea to help with 29 and will post again soon.

Here are a few threads I found using the hexagram index. I think they will help you understand what your casting means better. As Willowfox points out in one of the posts you will find under one of these hexagram 29 threads, the intention needs to be sincere. I think the lines of 45 mention that as well. So if you decide you want to do this, I think you should just consider it a sincere gesture. I would not use it as a means to an end, nor would I get ahead of myself thinking about marriage or anything. The lines of 45 may simply mean that she would appreciate your admiration and that may be all there is to it. Keep in mind the scope of the question. And 29 does carry an element of danger to it. So be careful. If she is a celebrity, you do not want to scare her, and a gesture like this could be misinterpreted very easily! So be careful how you go about it if you decide you want to do this. Good luck!

I would say here the danger lies on putting her portrait on social
media - my sense is that it seems a bit public and maybe even stalky.

Maybe ask if you should give it direct to her so SHE can decide whether
she wants it up for all to see - or ask her permission.

Anyway aske some questions to Yi based on the above. If you want a
romantic involvement - while flattering it is better to receive something
personally. I know famous people - they adhere to normal rules being
normal too. Also they understand mutual admiration and understand
kindred soulship - go to her tell her she inspires you. A famous artist was
my boyfriend when we were kids - he made my valentines based on things
I said I liked - sure wish i had kept it now hee hee

Thanks hopex that is great advice. I don't know why that didn't occur to me before. All day, I have been sitting with my meditation, and my insides is telling me not to post. The YI answered back with 52.1.2 -->26 I thought yech. It almost sounded as if I were addicted or something. I also made up my mind NOT to post the portrait. So, I meditated awhile, and did some online study of various hexes. I decided after a while: why don't I just down to the brass tacks?

When I finally got to the point of what was really the question I asked the oracle: What are my chances of marrying **? It gave me back 48.6 ---> 57 I thought, wow I certainly have a good chance. But my mind kept going back to the portrait. The best answer so far is what you suggested. THank you very much for that idea.

I feel like I can now progress. If I am wrong about 48.6 --> 57 let me know.

Definitely 48.6 says you are rich and ready to marry 57 is saying your foot is in the door - are you sure this girl isnt aware of you

maybe she is thinking of you that your thoughts are drawn to her

I would sent her the work or ask Yi a series of questions vis a vis this girl as potential wife

or what is the best way to approach this girl if my intentions are to court her with a view to marriage

Great advice Hopex! Yes, davy, that does sound much better. I am still new to this myself, but have found this forum and I Ching to be extremely helpful. Still not a master of interpretation obviously. Hope it goes exactly as you want it to.
