Hex 54

Does hex 54.1.5.6 changing to 6 seem negative in regards to a person? What if it's someone you are considering dating? Line 5 sounds good, but 1 and 6 not so much....

Or could this be a situation perhaps where *I* might be considering this person 2nd place? Given my current "mind-place", that would also make sense...hmmm....
This was the response to a question I've asked the IC about a person I know who has recently expressed an interest in dating me. The question was, What would be good to know about this person?

Or maybe this isn't a fair or appropriate question to pose to the IC at all?

Methinks the lady doth protest too much. Spoiled, would be my guess; and she probably would look down on you, lowering herself. Unless you're more interested in status than in love, there's more fitting fish in the sea for you to swim after.

Of course this is only my seeing through glass darkly interpretation.

I wonder though if IC may be more referring to me insttead of the person I asked about. Given that my heart belongs to another (in a crazy 18 and 21 mess), I almost wonder if IC gave me my perspective on this guy from that context? From my experience so far, the IC often likes to address the real issues behind things in my life and not always the question I'm asking!

Or maybe this is just all him and has nothing to do with me whatsoever...

Yes, it sometimes is! A self introspective person will always seek the answer in themselves, but sometimes that results in beating ourselves up unnecessarily, and sometimes that is not at all what the Yijing has intended. Very often it simply presents an image of the situation, and it's up to us to choose what we wish to do with it. The big judge in the sky may have no opinion on what is right or wrong in every case. That's how I'm reading this case.

PS: Ever notice how the most judgmental people also have the most judgmental God?

Something tells me there is a little more to this situation than meets the eye. A better question would be, "How much do you already know about him? Enough? Maybe not. Does he have any present relationships? How would you fit in?

Two of the changing lines are female, one is male. Does that tell you anything? Maybe not. But if more were said or known about what we already know about him, a more accurate reading might be possible.
