hex 57 to 46, lines 5 and 6 contradictory

Just got 57 with lines 5 and 6 changing. 5 says that perserverance brings good fortune. 6 says perserverance brings misfortune. Turning into 46. How is one to interpret two seemingly opposite changing lines? Is there an order of dominance here? Do they cancel each other out? Should I just look instead at 46?

Hex 57.5 says things/affairs get off to a bad start but introducing changes into the situation and to your attitude can bring about a good ending. It advises you to think about the changes that you wish to implement very carefully so as not to make any mistakes. Check your progress throughout, then good fortune. This line is about implementing positive changes to the situation.

Hex 57.6 this suggests that certain people are causing you problems and you know who they are but you reason that there is no point in keep fighting/chasing them, so you stop and this brings good fortune. If you were to keep up the fight then that would prove to be ultimately unfortunate for you. This line is about bringing a halt to your activities for the good.

The lines are on about different things, they are not opposites, read them first then proceed to Hex 46.
