First of all let me thank everyone for their input. I am very grateful to be able to share a part of my life here and receive the advice from a very experienced readers- even though I am practically using the Oracle for a couple of years, it is already certain to me that I have still a lot to learn! So, here it is the backstory:A decade ago I was actively participating in working on a series of a large-format (couple of square meters) abstract paintings, that were then shown during electronic music parties. I was heavily involved in the whole ''scene'' back then and enjoyed it, however with time passing by I had to skip doing that due to other responsibilities (job, not enough free time and basically - growing older, stopping partying). Currently, I am an expat living in Ireland. There's a similar electronic music scene here. My thinking about this goes like this: if I will immerse myself in those paintings and then go and ask the organizers for participation...my success will depend only on their mercy of accepting or refusing my offer. And some of those people aren't very high spirited. Also, I know that I will be painting not for the sake of painting, but due to the promise of receiving massive external validation (from the crowd complementing the artwork later on). But then again, we live in times where people are constantly making "selfies" and post them daily over Facebook to receive the very same external validation - so maybe there's nothing wrong with me looking for that, too? My being conscious of this fact (of chasing external validation) creates some sort of inner struggle - from one side I enjoy the whole process of designing the paintings, painting and finally showing them to the people in clubs. But, it is a whole process. I don't paint anymore because I don't go to those parties that often anymore. Part of me misses the whole thing, and the other part knows it's all phony in some way.I hope this do makes sense so far.So, I have asked I Ching "If it would be good for me if I will paint some new artwork and then get in contact with one of the organizers for him to show it off during a party, would this succeed?" And I have received Hexagram 9 and Hexagram 61, with line 3 changing. I am very curious of your judgment for this one! :)

Hi

In my experience line 3 hexagram 9 is not very favourable for projects its usually something underlying that you are not in tune with. Maybe the places you want to show the paintings you maybe wasting your time. The image is of a wheel without spokes or a broken axle. When I get the line in relation to my business its something I am missing. When I have had it in relation to social aspects there is almost a hint of sarcasm.

Wilhelm/Baynes: The spokes burst out of the wagon wheels. Man and wife roll their eyes.

My general feeling is that its not that you shouldnt paint its that particular avenue of distribution would be the issue.

Just my thoughts Mr Kind

Yes, thanks. As I said, I was very busy working. So I agree, the whole scene is also connected musically with the festival thing. There is still a creative side in me that is looking for nourishment. I decided to change the direction of this river of creativity. Instead of painting big UV backdrops to be viewed only by a group of inadequate audience during parties I decided to paint on a canvass instead, and with time, open my new side project which would be an Etsy store. A chance to show my work, and maybe get some coin for it , too. I've asked I-ching about that idea and albeit it said the beginnings will be tough, the ending/outcome will be great.I think this is the most favorite solution for me, in order to preserve my creativity and still keep my health & spirits high.I'd say the Oracle and the reading was 100% correct.
