Hexagram 1 unchanging

I just wanted to get some opinions on a rather confusing answer I received today. I consulted the iching and asked 'why hasn't X happened yet?' and received hexagram 1 unchanging. I interpreted it to mean that there is a lot of creative energy running through the situation and it may manifest soon. Although from reading other threads on hexagram 1 some take it as stagnant - energy not going anywhere. I would really like some opinons on what this could mean. Thanks.

The times I've received Hex 1 unchanging, it's meant "this situation is not going anywhere."

1 has to do with creation, so it's as if the IC is telling me "you're being very creative here. In fact, you're making the whole thing up. It only exists in your mind, not in reality."

It was probably a stupid question to ask in the first place. I didn't really have a specific person in mind (well, just a general, very personal question about a private matter), just wanted to know why it hasn't happened yet.

Maybe the response is mirroring the fact that you are waiting for X to happen, but you need to act. Hexagram One is not passive, it indicates energy to be used.

Hex 1 indicates creation and energy which is always in movement, never stays still. Think of all those atoms whizzing around and around, then apply the fact to your situation.

Hexagram one has a lot to do with the "right time to act." If it is unchanging, action needs to be taken, at least by somebody. You don't give us much to go by, so, the question remains, is it something that should happen on its own? Or is there something, or somebody that needs to start the ball rolling in order for it to happen? That might be a question you need to answer first.

another possible way to consider hexagram 1....
is that it is telling You that, about your question...., is possible, it can happen but you must do your job... if not... nothing will happen.
