Hi all,
Curious what your thoughts are on the hexagram 13.2.5.6 > 34? Is it more or less saying that whatever is good for the whole is better than something good for a select few?

Hi magnus,

I'd say it illustrates the way to work successfully with people one didn't choose himself, like colleagues.
Not everybody is good at certain tasks and it's difficult to work with them but with lightness, patience and some detachment good results are possible.

All the best!

Dear magnus,

I think that it is about partnership and leadership and how difficult it is to get it right. It could apply to friends, neighbours, colleagues, co-workers. I imagine line 2, for example, saying to a manager "well, allowing cliques in the workplace is not really the most effective form of management and in the end it is not going to work" or line 5 showing a group of co-workers trying to carry out a project and getting into all sorts of disagreements, difference of opinions, ups and downs and setbacks, but accomplishing the task in the end. But of course relationships between people are never perfect, some might feel isolated, some will get on better with others and so on (line 6).
