hexagram 16 - false hope?

hello,

I have this very important wish for a very long time that I keep asking I Ching about quite often. I dream of getting together with someone that I am separated for over a year. I know it sounds desperate and unlikely. However, I have also this very strong feeling that thing will turn out fine one day. I keep on strongly believing in that.

Anyway, I realised that quite often when I ask question will we be together one day again, I get hexagram 16, most often as a resulting hexagram. And also hexagram 15 is often there as well. So my question is, could this Enthusiasm also mean my false hopes? My dreams not connected to reality? And what would be 15 in that sense? I always interpreted it as an advice to keep it low and trust in better times.

If I was getting 15 a lot about a person or situation, it would tell me that authenticity is important. Getting 16 as a relating hex is hard to say on its own. Sometimes I interpret it as enthusiasm, sometimes as idealism. It could also be to do with being ready for something, or maybe not being. Like sometimes I've gotten 16 in readings about things that I would like to happen and it prompts me to ask myself, "if this situation happened right now, immediately, would I be able to make it work, or would I be ready for it?".

Yes, I woud interprate 15 as authenticity and being what you are, but this is not an isssue. I am what i am. I am strong and independent person, but kind towards the people I care about. I honestly love her and I am ready to put the past behind, being modest but also with dignity, and while we were in contact I made that clear enough. So it puzzles me what does it mean, since I can hardly do it more.... Maybe it refers to her? Rellying on herself and not letting me to influence her world anymore?

What I said was not specific to any situation. I thought you just wanted a general idea what these hexagrams could signify.
If you want help with an interpretation then you would have to post a question and the result of the casting.

Hi, if you ask about something over again and nothing within the situation has changed, no dynamics, you could get the same or similar response and then "empty" ones.
I think tealight summed it great, here you probably are getting the situation back at you from your point, reality vs. expectations/possibility.

haha ) yes, exactly what I feel about hex 16 lately. I mean, I am / was extemely optimistic person, but I am realising in last years that some of that optimism is actually a delusional thinking

One of the main meanings of 16 is "shun dong" or responsive movement.
It suggests being timely, like a good musician or dancer. You don't want to
get ahead of yourself, but you don't want an opportunity to pass either.
It's about readiness. Look to the timing.
