Hello again! Hope everybody is doing great. I have a friend who needed my help with an IC reading she pulled herself. There is a guy she plans on going on a date with, so she asked the Yi, “will Mr. J get back to me and confirm the date?” I see line 4 as a positive thing, but that he will get back to her at the right time (“he is not a robber, but a suitor...he will woo at the right time...it is not enmity, but a love marriage.”) Also it’s funny how the Yi mentions how she might view him as a robber, because she did tell me she wasn’t sure if his intention to date her was all that serious or honorable. Any interpretations would be appreciated. Thank you!

Hi Hexagramer,
My own experience with 22.4 > 30 is that someone is being a deceptive Don Juan, all flamboyant, all air and no substance, in order to conquer the other person. What they're doing in reality is only caring about their own sweet self and nothing else (30). In conclusion, your friend will have a lovely date (IF it happens, hard to tell with this type of suitor). But for now, his intentions are to sweet-talk her and he's not after any true togetherness. This is as things stand right now - he might well feel different after he's met your friend. She might sweep him off his horse-feet, you never know :D

Haha, that’s an interesting interpretation! Thank you so much, I’ll tell her she might be dating a Don Juan type of guy. And you’re right, who knows how her date will end! At the moment she is telling me the ball is in his court, and she’s waiting for him to confirm.

Tell your friend also that a classic game of the online dating scene is the guy to offer a date, and then appear totally cold in the 2-3 days before it (even if he does intend to follow through). I've lost count to how many friends this happened, too regular to be a coincidence. I'm certain it's some obscure trick. Silly boys!

Thank you! I’ll tell her what you just said. ;) She told me she wanted to update you all on what happens. Should be interesting to see how everything unfolds.

So an update: She went on her date, and told me that he seemed head over heels for her. She’s being careful right now because she finds it hard to believe that “such a good-looking guy would ever settle down with just one woman.” He asked her out again, and she accepted, but is taking all of this attention with a grain of salt.
