Hexagram 22 and some puzzlement

Hello friends:

I have only been using I Ching a few months, but I am having some trouble with Hexagram 22. The hexagram was cast with coins, no special lines. The querent's question was "Will **** spend 5 years in jail?" I am wondering if I am missing anything...

If the person is in jail now then they will not have to do the full 5 years, the sentence will be reduced.

If the person is awaiting punishment, then it is unlikely they will get 5 years.

I believe its unlikely as the answer was 22 but I would possibly ask another question if you need more clarity

like simply what do i need to know about my up and coming court case then you may get more details

Steve, I believe that you are absolutely right...It all boils down to HOW you put the question...I never thought of that angle at all...I'm glad that this is all a learning experience...
