Hello together!
Please have also for me understanding, as my mothertounge ist not english, but german; I have a question about the hexagramm 26: I have a friend (which I hope one day my boyfriend is!)we were walking in a park and he has made pictures and then he shot me too, although I didnt want, because I am not photogenic, so he has me neverthless photografed von behind, my head, my hear, and I so asked the I Ching what a nonsense this was, that the Photocamera belongs to me and he has not the foto!
I know, maybe this is a silly question, but it concerns me very much.

Okay I wouldn`t say silly question, but at least not a good question. I guess your REAL question is another one, isn`t it? Maybe you are more interested in if he has feelings for you or what he wants from you or what you really wish from him or something like that?

Your question concerning this photography issue is much too complex for a simple answer from Yi you would be able to understand.

My suggestion is: Ask again BUT before, please, ask yourself what you really wishes to know Don`t ask such complex questions, but more simple question and rather different and a couple of them, one after another for to get closer to the message.

Yi answers to your innermost, so ask questions coming from your deepest innermost and don`t deal with question which only scratches the surface or insignificant details like the question you asked. Ask simple and directly. Come to the point.

It is almost impossible to relate hexagram 26 to your question, without knowing very much background information. Apart from that I would need to know: Is it unchanging or do you have got changing lines?

If you have got problems with english language and/or the meaning of the hexagrams and lines you can cry for help in writting a pm to me, because I don`t check out each thread which is upcoming here and I also don`t check them out each day.

Okay. ich würd`s jetzt nicht direkt dumme Frage nennen, aber zumindest keine besonders gute Frage. Ich schätze mal deine EIGENTLICHE Frage ist eine andere oder? Vielleicht bist mehr daran interessiert zu wissen ob er Gefühle für dich hat oder was er von dir will oder was du dir wirklich von ihm wünscht oder sowas?

Deine Frage diese Fotografie Sache betreffend ist viel zu komplex als das Yi (Das I Ging) dir eine einfache Antwort darauf geben könnte die du auch verstehst.

Mein Vorschlag: Frage nochmal ABER bevor du fragst, frage dich bitte selber was du wirklich wissen willst Stelle nicht so komplexe Fragen, sondern ganz einfache und dafür lieber mehrere verschiedene hintereinander um dich der Sache anzunähern.

Das I Ging antwortet auf dein Innerstes. Stelle also Fragen, die aus deinem tiefsten Innern kommen und halte dich nicht mit unwichtigen, oberflächlichen Fragen auf wie der die du gestellt hast. Frage einfach und ganz direkt. Komme auf den Punkt.

Es ist mir fast unmöglich Hexagramm 26. in Beziehung zu deiner Frage zu bringen, denn dafür bräuchte ich viel mehr Hintergrund Information von dir. Ausserdem müsste ich wissen ob das Hexagramm ohne wandelbare Linien ist oder mit wandelbaren Linien und wenn "ja", welche?

Or, maybe 26 was speaking to you, not to feel as though you must make a point of it now, but wait for an opportune time to discuss your feelings and/or reasons for not wanting to be photographed. You have your reasons and that should be respected, but he may have been attempting to lower your inhibition and raise your self-confidence.

Lot of ifs I know, but 26 can imply many things, all relating to the context of your question, which was a difficult one to answer. Does 26 apply to you or to him? That's what can be difficult about interpreting readings; sometimes we need a "trip to the woodshed" for a lesson, sometimes it has nothing to do with us. Who can say? I think that only falls upon the one who asked the question, though we others can offer our impressions.

First: You are not german From where do you come from, or better: What is your mother tongue?

Second: I know what hexagram 9 line 6 means but I would need to know the question you asked for to bring in into relation with your question and your situation. So please tell me first what question you asked and it would be great if you could tell me how YOU understand this line. It doesn`t matter if your interpretation is right or wrong, just say what you felt and what you thought when you had read the message from Yi.

The rest of it you don`t understand we can work out (maybe) together

Zweitens: Ich weiß was die sechste Linie bei Hexagramm 9 bedeutet, aber du müsstest mir erst sagen welche Frage du gestellt hast so das ich die Bedeutung in Zusammenhang mit deiner Frage und deiner Situation bringen kann. Es ist ganz gleich ob deine Interpretation richtig oder falsch ist, sag`einfach was du dabei gefühlt und gedacht hast als du die Botschaft vom I Ging gelesen hast.

I also have problems with understanding charly`s cryptic posts, lol. I guess it is simple his very own and individual way of communication, and sometimes it is just necessary to ask him what he means. Because he always answer this question, everything is fine. But I`m glad to know that I`m not the only one who is finding his posts sometimes kind of puzzling.

@Hilary: No problem As long as there are only 1, 2 or 3 germans with english problems. A couple of years ago I have been at a bilingual Forum where it was duty to write always, each post in English and German, that was exhausting, lol. For me it is a good training, because I really try to translate word by word and that is why my german here sounds a bit stiff.

That's funny; when I have problems to understand what Yi is telling me, I ask me too!

Anyone is welcomed to use any of my own images posted here, but that one I pinched off the net. It appears to be fair game, and it kicks azz!
