Hexagram 50, all lines changing?.. Hostile environment.

Hello,

I asked Yi for the best insight and advice for me, the answer was 50.1.2.3.4.5.6 > 3.

I have had a tough time lately, with an eerie number of rejections landing in my lap (altogether now: home, mother, work, men - yes, plural...). Even those positive, easy things would suddenly and inexplicably turn bleak and difficult. I feel like I'm being urged to do something, go somewhere, except all the doors are firmly barricaded, I'm trapped inside a hostile territory. 'Think outside the box', is what I've been telling myself all day, but somehow thinking is the last thing I want to do right now. Then I get hexagram 50, all lines changing, and hexagram 3 emerging seemingly all too much like a hard work.

What is going on? Please do share.

And pardon my negativity, btw. It is what it is, at the moment.

I think you must not try too hard to make sense of things. This is a potent reading. Yang change pattern hexagram 1, yin pattern 2. It looks like your life is a sock that has been turned inside out ! All lines in 50 changing so something is cooked, changed transformed and now you are in a hex 3 time ?

3 and 50 are also opposites/complements. I will link to a thread where we discuss those. So 3 and 50 are interdependent in a way. One cannot do 50 without 3 and one cannot do 3 without 50 ?

This is quite a reading to think about so I'll just throw in some random thought. First thing comes to mind is cooking. 50 is the 'ting' the vessel where food is transformed. I could think of 3 as the ingredients not yet assembled to make the dish. So what's happened here ? You made one big pot of excellent nourishing soup in 50 yet you are returned to a state where you have random ingredients in front of you with not much idea of what to do with them.

One pot of soup has been made and digested but now there's new kitchen full of ingredients for cooking

I imagine this cast might feel like "Hang on I thought all of this was sorted, the soup is made (50)...but now there's a kitchen full of fish, carrots, sugar and apples and what am I meant to do with that (3) ?????

Well don't rush into anything and don't rush in to trying to make sense of anything. Allow the mists to clear. It seems you are getting ready for something new but it's way too early to say what. Multi rejections can be a kind of path clearance to make way for new birth/new growth in 3 perhaps.

It seems your instinct is right not to do too much thinking. You need less to think and more to put exploratory feelers out around this pot you cooked. I wonder if this pot you cooked is the vessel of your life. I wonder if it 'over full' in some way, if you are at 'the end of an era' ?

I think this is a difficult reading to make sense of. Normally I'd see the relating hexagram as more of the circumstance/backdrop but with all lines in 50 changing I think the 3 time is coming to the fore.

If this were my cast I wouldn't try to pinpoint the meaning yet. I'd wrap it up and carry it around in my pocket and see what kinds of things it says as the days pass.

Others might see something quite different to me here.

Yes this is about something consolidated, transformed (50 all lines), over which, on the basis on which, something new is trying to be born (3) ?

You aren't ready to go ahead an take action in 3. You need guidance, signposts and exploratory manoeuvres and you need allies, support networks, more information. 3 can be overwhelming so take it slow, let things begin to come together till things make more sense.

The image that comes to my mind is one of a big pot, ready to cook something delicious slowly. Instead of that, though, someone puts it directly onto very hot fire so that it bubbles up far too quickly, far too hot. It's as if you put a casserole of dried beans on the stove, and expect to have them ready and cooked in just a few minutes by turning up the heat (= impossible).

50 shows a slow change, a stable transformation, little by little.
3 speaks of chaos, and the need for help.

Since you can't have 50 right now, go for the suggestion of 3 - seek helpers.
If you don't know how to 'cook' this situation, ask someone who knows the recipe

Choose what to keep and where to forget the old ways and to move on.

I think overall advice is leaning to the side of new vistas, new goals, new life [3]. Because otherwise it would have been 3.7 - 50.

3.7 ? There is no line 7 I'd think it was a typo but in another thread you also wrote 7 ?

When there are too many changing lines it means that there is too much confusion too many changes and too much going on. Nothing is clear yet. It shows a difficult new beginning out of a chaotic crazy time where things are coming at you from all sides. Things are cooking and there is potential for growth hidden in your situation. There can be success with the help of others who have the experience to consolidate your position in all this chaos.
