I am interested how would you interpret line 5? I've noticed that this hex, when you ask a love question means that the other side is not taking you seriously, but that you simply fulfill a certain role. And I've red on this pages that it can mean that you are simply a mistress, that he or she has someone else-in mind or for real. I tend to agree with that.
But, line 5 is pretty confusing to me:
The sovereign I gave his daughter in marriage.
The embroidered garments of the princess Were not as gorgeous
As those of the serving maid.
The moon that is nearly full
Brings good fortune
Is the reason that you are being a serving maid because the princess is more modest than you are and knows how to be in a lower position? or maybe this is going to go to your favor? Who is actualy serving maid and who is the princess? Does it have to be about 2 women or it can represent two states of mind? Is it about having good or bad luck? What about the moon?
I have too many thoughts about this line and I always have difficulties interpreting it.
If anyone has more experience about this one or some usefull ideas how to understand it it would be great. Thanks

Hi Sirix,

You are right when looking at 54 as being in a humble position, and I think that line 5 is just telling you to make the best out of it. By changing that line namely you get hex. 58... Just see the fun of the meetings first, before looking for more seriousness...

And as it is also the Yang line for hex. 8, I think that it is also about being strong and connected to yourself first, before conecting yourself to someone else...
