Hey there!

I need some advice real bad. It's in regards to a certain business proposal with a partner that will require my commitment. I asked the I Ching what to do in regards to it. To accept or not?

Got Hexagram 56.2.6 to Hexagram 32.

Line 2 sounds nice but Line 6 is confusing. A bird destroys it's nest or is it actually a phoenix??

Also, what about reading it like this: Hexagram 56.2 to changing to 50.6 to 56. Is that an accurate way of reading multiple changing lines??

Kindly,

sibyl

Should I accept a certain business proposal or not?
56.2.6 > 32

Six in the second place means:
The wanderer comes to an inn.
He has his property with him.
He wins the steadfastness of a young servant.

Nine at the top means:
The bird's nest burns up.
The wanderer laughs at first,
Then must needs lament and weep.
Through carelessness he loses his cow.
Misfortune.

Business carries the hope of gain and the danger of loss. This casting implies that you should limit you liability. The business starts off well (line 2) but encounters misfortune later (line 6). Don't risk your home to finance this business. Make clear to the partner the maximum of your liablity before commiting to anything, and in case of business failure insure that you will not be left holding the bag -- solely responsible for debts incurred by the business.
