Why not ask your wife? Or ask your wife to ask a doctor or get a pregnancy kit and test herself?

Probably yes...

59 may be your image about 'prenancy and delivery' if look at all the lines in 59.

I think Dobro's questions need answering before this one can be interpreted. If Ahnah can ask his wife (and she can ask a pregnancy testing kit), then that's obviously going to be more useful and reliable than the oracle. If there is a reason why he doesn't want to ask his wife, then that sounds a serious enough issue for Yi to have chosen to talk about that first.

Here's one possibility-- The image of 59 is made up of one male trigram, Kan, and one female trigram, Sun. With no changing line, that would imply no baby.

Best wishes, Ahnah.

Ahnah - when you find out if she's pregnant, please come back here and let us know. I'm really interested, because I want to check the outcome of the situation against the hexagram you drew for your question.

Hi Schastlivchik,

I notice your method of interpretation is very interesting.
Do you mind, say start a new thread to share some useful tips?

Ahnah

59 is also about dispersing obstacles to bring about the promissed auspicious time.

Maybe there are things you should / could do?

After reading Schastlivchik's interpretation, i realize the 'key' is in the 'no changing line'.
This is a good tip, Schastlivchik.

Hence i made another reading for Ahnah (though some of you may not agree).

I got 50.1.4.5
Line 1 is about 'physical cleansing' which is still ongoing, i guess.
Line 4 is about the prevailing situation now.
Line 5 is about a promised auspicious time as Kevin pointed out, after both you and your wife has worked together to disperse the obstacles.

Be patient.

I love where this hexagram leads: Small Accumulating. Takes about nine months to accumulate the small person!

Hi Ylypg1,

She has visited a Woman's Clinic (that what we call in our country) and taken some medicine to clear the bacteria (seens to be very common). Perhaps that is the what it mean by "physical cleansing".

Will refer to my "San Min Tong Hui" and choose auspicious time for baby making. Thanks everyone you guys are so helpful.

Okay, Ahnah's wife isn't pregnant. Yet. I add the 'yet' because of the text for 59.

He asks if she's with child, and the Yi says: "Disperse that idea. But approach the sacred and embark on that course of action, and it's advantageous to perservere."

I like the way the Yi images making a baby as 'king approaches temple'.

"How does a king approach the/a temple?"

LOL, he approaches *this particular temple* very lovingly, I hope. Yet with a mischievous gleam in his eye...

"How does a king approach the/a temple?"

Depends on the king and the temple. But if you're the king, you've got conscious power, and if it's a temple, it's sacred. I like the idea that making a baby is sacred business. And like JTE says, I hope there's playfulness in there too.

I found this post very interesting since I have recently asked the Yi how to best prepare myself to get pregnant (my partner and I have been trying for a baby for a while) and got 59 followed by 7. Dobro, if you are reading this, can you please explore a bit on your last comment: "Disperse that idea. But approach the sacred and embark on that course of action, and it's advantageous to perservere." or perhaps anyone else has any suggestions/comments?

The main idea of 59 is dispersing, especially boundaries, limits, measure. (Hex 60 is about acknowleding and observing measure and limit, whereas 59's more about dispersing those things.)

So when Ahnah drew 59 in answer to his question, I did what I always do with the response - I looked at both the possibility that it answered his question directly, and at the possibility that the Yi was commenting on the 'inappropriacy' of asking that particular question. (I think that happens sometimes - if you ask the 'wrong' question, the Yi will give you a hexagram which is unrelated to your question, but which contains very important information for you if you can only open your mind to see it.)

And because Ahnah was asking the Yi a question about something which could have been much more simply answered by a simple test or a simple visit to a doctor - ie, inappropriate - I thought that the 59 response might quite easily be the Yi saying: "Oh come on. Disperse that question. You don't need to ask me. Just get your wife to a reliable pregnancy testing facility."

But on the other hand, maybe the Hex 59 response *was* an answer to Ahnah's question. And that was the basis of my idea about the king approaching the temple, the woman's body being the temple, the king being Ahnah, and the conception being the divine event in the temple. I like that a lot. I really like the idea of conception being sacred. I also like the idea about persevering a lot too, in this case. lol

Lol, yes i know what you mean about persevering... but what do you think the main message was there for me in 59 changing to 7?

I like that remark. A few nights ago, I was conversing with the YI and it seemed to be giving me answers that had no relation to my line of questioning. It made me sad. So I wrote down: "Dear Yi, I feel as if you are no longer my trusted friend." threw the coins and got : 21.4.6> 24 ....translation to me: YOU are not listening! go back and bite through!! Today, the answers made perfect sense in light of new developments which had been brewing.

Sometimes it takes a little time and clarity to see the full meaning.

Micheline, I had a similar experience. Nothing was pressing, everything was great, my mind and attitude seemed well tuned, no real questions, content with everything. I thought maybe this is a good time to ask Yi "do have anything to say to me?" Answer: 27.1 - 23.

Later in bed, contemplating this strange answer, I suddenly busted out laughing. There's an old slang expression you may have heard called "slack jawed". It refers to a stupid hillbilly with his mouth gawking open. lol.. Line 1: "Why you look at me slack jawed with no question?" I chuckled myself to sleep.

Magdalena - hi again.

"what do you think the main message was there for me in 59 changing to 7?"

Well, your question was about how best to prepare yourself to get pregnant. The main idea of 59>7 is 'disperse this with well-organized force'.

I have no idea how that applies to your situation. It might be advising you *against* trying to get pregnant ('forcefully disperse this trying to get pregnant'). Or there might be some obstacle on the physical level that needs dealing with. Or their might be some resistance on the emotional level (subconscious, maybe) which needs to be dealt with. Dunno. But whatever it is, it needs to be dispersed powerfully before you conceive. Maybe you should stop trying on a personal level. Maybe you should ask God to help. 59 is all about connecting with the divine, after all.

Finally, I'm on a public computer and so I don't have access to my Yi right now, and I don't remember the 59.5 and 59.6 lines. There's probably useful information in there too.

Hope this helps more than discourages. :)
