Hello all,I'm a fairly experienced Oracle caster, but this one has me perplexed. And I'm finding virtually nothing about this particular combination anywhere.I have a long standing unresolved conflict that I'm expecting to have some specific turning points over the coming months. I cast today asking what would become of the situation where regards to turning for the better/being resolved during that time frame and received 63 to 64 (all changing lines). Given the already cryptic nature of these two hexagrams, their relationship, and the lines, I'm feeling over whelmed trying to make heads or tails (pun intended) of this reading. I feel it's significant due to its extremely unlikely nature. Can anyone help offer some insight? Thanks!

Oh goodness. Perchance did Yi accompany this with a ;) ?

One possibility with a lot of moving lines is that the lines are a story, and you'll progress through it line by line. 63's lines don't seem very story-like to me, but I guess you'll find out.

You mentioned the relationship between 63 and 64. Endings and beginnings, beginnings and endings. 63 is completion, 64 is incompletion, after completion comes incompletion - pretty much what's said about 63, that things don't always stay completed. Do you think all 6 lines moving might indicate a lot of complication or "churn," maybe more than you're expecting?

You did say you expect "some specific turning points" (plural?). I wonder if Yi's emphasizing that's exactly what you'll get, lots (and lots?) of turning points.

If the turning points are well-defined or recognizable, I wonder if it might suggest you should pay extra attention to the transitions in and out of them. Be careful how one thing ends, then be careful how the next part starts. Timing, preparation, rounding-off, tying up loose ends - if those things are relevant at all, I have no idea.

I'm sure there's tons more could be made of this. It's an interesting one, for sure - I hope you'll keep us informed?

(Happy Clarity post no. 1, by the way! :))

Hi Solaire,
just like Liselle I think it it is all complex. There will be a turning, I think it says, and it is important - the situation, seamingly already tied-up, will open up again. I wonder why 64 is after 63 - it says, after ending there is a new beginning, after a finished story is before a new story.
There is not much I can guess, but it as if it will be a relief. All the best!

Hi Solaire,

what would become of the situation where regards to turning for the better/being resolved during that time frame
63.1.2.3.4.5.6 > 64

The way I see all lines changing is that the first hexagram is fully activated - a bit like a checklist, where all options in the first hexagram are ticked; and thus the second hexagram becomes imperative. In other words, all notions of the first hexagram are valid and augmented, and this causes the second hexagram to become undisputed reality or totally recommended action.

63 is about crossing a wide gap, often it refers to communicating and getting your point across. It also shows a situation which is thoroughly completed, concluded, ended. The situation becomes 64, where nothing is in its right position. Something doesn't get across, something doesn't get fulfilled. You do your absolute best to get something fully accomplished (63), but you find out that in fact nothing has been accomplished (64). So as an answer to your question, I don't think that the conflict will get resolved for the better I'm afraid. The specific hexagrams being the ones they are, they also look like an unending loop, a vicious circle.

I am more optimistic. I think of 63/64 as describing a situation like moving into a new home. 63 would be the packing up and completing moving out of the old house and then 64 would be all the unpacking before being completely moved into the new. So I see this answer as a yes, the old issues get resolved, but then comes new issues about how to be moving forward,

Thank you so much for the insight and the warm welcome! I will definitely keep this updated. Yes, there will be multiple opportunities for things to change for the better (plural).
