Hexagram 64 lines 2,4,5 changing to hexagram 20...can anyone help, thanks

I asked the I Ching if I would be reunited with someone i have been involved with soon...the answer I received was hexagram 64 (which i must say I find quite ambiguous) and changing lines 2,4 and 5 changing to hexagram 20...can anyone help with this please? Thanks

Hex 64.2,4,5 suggests that you will be united with this person but perhaps later rather than sooner, it is a matter of being patient and waiting, perhaps some problems with this person that have to be ironed out first, and then okay.

Hex 20 now is the time to step back and take a fresh look at the situation concerning this person, maybe you will see things differently or you may learn something new about them.

the light side:

with/from remaining open comes being attracting (being an example and motivating others)

the dark side:

with/from mis-sequencing (getting it wrong, not completing) comes being made an example of (public punishment, humiliation)

64 - remaining open, avoid closure AND mis-sequencing, make an error, do not complete 'properly'.

20 - being an example (and so being contemplated as well a contemplating) AND being made an example of (public punishment makes others wary of thinking/behaving in an 'unacceptable' manner as far as the state is concerned.)

The above refllects the universal dynamic of 64-20. The application of such to your context is your doing, not mine. Furthermore, if you used random/miaculous methods to achieve 64-20 there is no guarantee that this is the 'best fit' for your question.

A quick analysis of what you seek covers:

a question of fact
a question about could-be

the final question is are you reacting or instigating in all of this. If reacting then we have the trigram of thunder, if proactive than of fire.

Emotionally fire covers issues of acceptance (and is opposed by water and its focus on issues of rejection).

The IC does not TELL you what will happen, the sort of question you have asked is not appropriate (but is more often the usual form!). What it can do is offer advice on (a) best way to get back together or (b) the best way to avoid such! ... but tossing coins etc will limit the derivation of the 'best fit' for your situation in that that method is not consistant.
