Hexagram for Economic Recession?

Assuming that each hexagram represents some situation in its advance, how do you think which hexagram fits for ongoing economic recession?

My bet is 44:

Ying line unexpectedly enters the bottom of the hexagram, like the unexpected crash of Lehman Brothers

just out of curiosity I asked the yi -- "What hex best describes an ngoing economic recession?" And got 44.2-33, which is sort of interesting. I like the idea that something is growing inside it, anyway.

Uh, as I understand 44.2 the idea of "Fish in the tank" is positive not because something is growing, but because something is contained and under control and therefore cannot contaminate a larger area.

you see the fish as dangerous or toxic somehow? that's interesting, I've never come across that take. I have had that hex come up in association with (other people's) pregnancy a few times (that line = pregnant, 44.4 = not pregnant) and I tend to think of that little fish that way. I don't think that's precisely what's going on in those lines, but it seems to me to be related.

I think the focus of Rosada's comment was to highlight "containment" (the tank) and thus control, and not the subject/object contained within (the fish)... Am I correct, Rosada?

Yes, I'm focusing on containment. Perhaps the "loyal official" Wilhelm refers to is government action to contain the recession at this time and getting this line would indicate this is successful, although nothing is said about actually turning things around yet?

The fish likewise belongs to the yin principle. The reference os to the six at the beginning. This six is in the relationship of correspondence to the nine in the fourth place, the "guest." But through this relationship the yin element would penetrate too far into the hexagram. Therefore the six at the beginning is held captive, like a fish in a tank, by the nine in the second place, the loyal official, who has a relationship of holding together with it. As a result all goes well. It is to be noted that the word here rendered by "tank" includes the idea that the yin element is treated in a perfectly friendly way.
