Hi I am unsure whether to accept a job offer and at first I got hexagram 27 with changing lines 1 and 5 and then hexagram 10 unchanging. Both are unclear to me after reading many meanings, should I accept this job and be content or stick it out and wait for a job I really want?

27.1.5 changes to....hex 20. You really can make your own mind up here. You can do what you feel is best. 27.1 says stop looking at the I Ching for the answer for you know the answer yourself. I'd say 27.5 shows there may be difficulties in holding out for what you want but nevertheless it's still the right thing for you. Meantime you have to eat though...so you may choose to take the job whilst still hoping for something else

10 uc for the same question....(why ask the same question twice.)

In general these answers are advising you to realise your own power to choose. You can choose what you want....that's good. We often feel so much less powerful than we are. You can have faith in your own feelings, even if it feels dicey and scary, you can walk your own path. Both 27.5 and 10 uc give the sense of this

I agree with trojan. You should walk your own path, don't look at others way of doing. (27.5 and 10uc)
I'm also trying to find a job here, and i feel you. And i had received 27.1 a few times. And it made me wonder , why?

Huang writes about line 1:
You are ignoring the delicious meal on your own plate and thinking of what others have. Such envy brings misfortune.

The oracle is asking you:
Are you trying to behave like others? To fix your problem(of nourishing and earning money) like others do.

This job maybe good for one, but if you try to do it - you probably won't like it.
If you have free time and getting this job wouldn't be a hassle - you can experience it and see for yourself.

A year ago i got a job as a personal driver for a private doctor. After talking to her on the phone, i knew that i wouldn't last long on this job, but i just wanted to experience it anyway.
The driving part was ok, but waiting while she works with the patient was very boring, and also we got home very late. I was out on a job for 12-14 hours a day!
I quit after one week, she really enjoyed working with me and was sad to see me go)
It was very educating for me, in a positive way, and i'm glad that i did it.

Thank you for these replies they are helpful and I guess the I Ching is telling me what I already know, maybe I was hoping to hear something different but have to accept the situation for what it is.
