OK, so this is probably a bit silly. Last year I went to the beach with some friends and amongst other things, we all took some photos. In particular, this one guy whose photography I admire a lot, set up a bit of an action shot with another friend and we both took photos. Now, he is much more proficient and has a muuuuch better camera than me and ever since then I've been dying to see what his shots ended up like. However, he only ever put two photos from that weekend on the Facebook and they weren't the one's I'm thinking of. I did ask him at the time when he was going to put the rest of the photos up because he took one of my action shots of him and used it as his profile pic for a while and he said he'd do it soon but then he never did.

Yes, I know, this is sounding silly and obsessive but I really want to see the rest of his photos so I asked Am I Ever going to see those photos he took? and got 16.4.6 (to me this speaks of decreasing enthusiasm and sort of giving up on it but I wasn't sure so I asked a follow up clarification question: What can I do to get him to show me the photos and got 14.2.3 > 21 which I'm not sure what it says because it implies some sort of gift giving on my part and I don't know what I can give this person that they would want. I have given praise in the past and this was met with a dismissive attitude so I don't think he is looking for flattery. I don't really want to ask again as it would seem pushy and annoying no doubt, so just wondering, do you think these casts are basically saying to me that I just have to give up on wanting to see these photos?

Thank you as always :bows:

Hmmm... Ya know. I think the Yi may be saying not to put much stock in it. That it isn't worth the effort. I think line 3 is describing him. I'm not that familiar with these lines though, and I could be wrong. I hope I am. I'd like for you to finally see your pictures:).

Hey its not so trivial, its copywrite right,, so u feel he is baltanly stealing your art

16 and its about art i think 16.4 they are your photographs simple 16..6 if ask him enough times he will see your point, you have to remember they are yours right perhaps he is deluded to think he owns them.

one thing i cant stand is delusional bullys

lol Steve you really need to dial down the paranoia my friend. The photographs are his, not mine, what gave you the idea they belong to me?

Perhaps the pictures didn't come out as he hoped... So, maybe he doesn't want to share them because they just weren't that good. After all, he used one of your shots as his profile pic. I have an alternate interpretation though... In line 14.2 and 16.4 a group of people is mentioned. In 16.4 it is suggesting to rally their enthusiasm, and in 14.2 the people are helping get goods in a wagon. Maybe alluding to you getting your pictures. Line 16.6 may just be warning you not to get carried away. And 14.3 may just be pointing out to you that his character is a factor here. Is he petty or is he a more generous person normally? You said he did not respond well to flattery... But does he have a philosophy about art that he takes seriously... Maybe if you appeal to his responsibility as an artist to share his work, along with your friends, he will show you the pictures. If they are also enthusiastic it will be very hard to deny your request. It is always much harder to say no to more than 1 person. What the Yi may be drawing to your attention is the outcome is uncertain, but this is your best bet. I say go for it... Just don't break into his house or anything:p

And speaking of pictures, here is an action shot for you Precision Grace. It's a black footed ferret, the endangered and wild brethren of the domestic ferret. Great shot!

Don't know dwf, it could be as you say, that he just isn't pleased enough with the photos to post them, although the two I saw were really good, but it could also be that he shared the rest with others, just not with me. I am disinclined to push the point because I just don't think my enthusiasm would be all that welcome. Actually it was all a bit weird for all sorts of reasons back then, and now it's such a long time since the photos were taken that I don't think anyone apart from me even remembers about them. It's just that I had had such a lovely time that weekend and there were a few shots we both took and like I said, he is a much better photographer with much better equipment and I really wanted to see how his photographs compared to mine (not masochism, just learning and admiring experience heh). To be fair, it's probably best not to let me get started because I'll be wanting to know all the settings for each photo etc, I can get a bit ott with my 16 about photography :)

Thank you for the action shot of the rare ferret - very nice!

Here's an action shot of sand - one of the photos I took that I'm sure wouldn't be a patch on the one's taken by the guy we were talking about here :D

Very nice shot! It has a magical feel to it, very calming, and very peaceful. You can almost feel the wind blowing by. And there is a little spark of light hovering in the grass... Is that a little speck of dew catching the sun? Beautiful Precision Grace:bows:

thank you for the nice words dwf :bows:, the speck of light is a flying silver coloured boules ball :)

Here is another action shot with larger ball so you can see what it looks like

Edit: perhaps the silver ball wasn't flying in the previous shot, it might have been the one thrown before, but it sounds so much cooler if it was, in fact, flying, doesn't it ;)

Flying always sounds cooler:). Either way, flying or not, it gives the picture a nice sparkle... Even the non sparkly ball adds a nice touch. Reminds me of the pyramids in Egypt during a sandstorm, except instead of pyramidal structures, these little buildings are spherical. Could be the home for some tiny magical creatures, and I imagine there is a little door on that ball hidden out of view that they all ran to when the sand started blowing. That is of course, impossible... How would such tiny creatures ever walk on the sand. They would just sink. Probably fliers:p. I call it "Flight of the Fairies!"

That's so lovely, that you immediately come up with a whole magical back story for what is basically an action shot of balls disturbing the sand as they land in it.

I like the little sand people who live in the spheres. Maybe they are like tiny meerkats or even teeny tiny ferrets with webbed hairy feet which allow them to surf the flying sand dunes?

Well, I wasn't going to bring ferrets into it, but now that you mention it, fairy ferrets had crossed my mind:rofl:.

Sorry, but in the time you spent casting the iChing you could have just dashed off an email asking him to send you copies of the photos or a link to where you could download them! Offer to buy him a drink or a burger or something if he'll do you the favor. Actually this might be what the iChing was telling you too, but I'm just guessing about that ....
