I asked "How should I earn my living?" and Yi's answer, 2.1 to 24.

I teach people communication that supports compassion. I am also a factual film maker. I am searching for a way that I can contribute in my work and just have a bit more support and sustainability round me. I am very poor financially but rich in terms of freedom to grow and self direction. At the moment I am enjoying working with others who are also into the same communication approach to compassion and I am enjoying that very much though it is 100% voluntary. I am getting some referrals. I think I've been stuck in under-earning for a long time even though I have lots of skills and talents. I notice that I have really appreciated the freedom of the last 5 years self-employed, even though I am only scrapping a living, I have been able to get enough rest and sleep to heal and have been depression free for almost 3 years now! So I have more energy and confidence and lots of transformation is happening inside me in terms of deep wisdom, freedom from inner struggle and fear. I do think I work better with others and need some guidance, cos on my own I seem to put time onto the wrong tasks.

Any interpretations that lead to action especially welcome:)

Hexagram 2.1 - hexagram 24 is a feeling of coming back down to earth (2.1 follows 1.6, the line about the dragon flying too high). So it seems to me to be saying don't focus on making big bucks, reduce your needs instead.
You mention in your post how much you enjoy the work you have been doing so perhaps this response is encouraging you that you are well suited to this work and rather than changing careers for a fatter pay check it would be better for you to minimize your expenses.
It occurs to me that if you keep your expenses to a minimum and live in a manner that emphasizes your dedication to your work you may find that somehow the Universe supports you. Kinda like Ghandi wearing only a simple loin cloth and shawl as he spread his message throughout the world.

Thanks Rosada.

I already live on very little, several years now, I don't need much and I enjoy simplicity. I do need to improve my sustainability a bit. But the universe is supporting me. I don't worry too much about money, what worries me is that I don't feel efficient. I don't feel like I am in the right place with my work activity. It's not about money, it's about using my energy and skills wisely and needing guidance and support, to figure that out:)

Michellez1,

Maybe 24 and 2 reflect your feelings and your thoughts on "needing guidance and support" OR the need to be receptive to the "support and sustainability" that is already around you.

And... 2.1 could be that it's not far off, a solid foundation is around the corner.

OR... illuminate your worry and feeling of inefficiency, before that becomes solid ice, or decay.

The reading just seems like you're in (24), everything is okay. Be receptive to that (2), before your worry creates decay in a situation where you've already progressed, and are already creating a solid foundation. (2.1)

Don't know... That's my best go at it.

Best wishes,

BA

How-should-I-earn-my-living-and-Yi-s-answer-2-1-to-24

I see this as you solidifying your resolve (line 1) in your current passion or openness to your creativity (1 and 2 are complementary hexes) so that it feels more permanent and fixed (line 1). And as you continue to return again (doing more projects) (24). As you continue to "return" you in turn you strengthen your resolve.

Sorry trying again since my post got truncated and rearranged.

How-should-I-earn-my-living-and-Yi-s-answer-2-1-to-24

I see this as you solidifying your resolve/faith in your work(line 1) in your current passion or openness to your creativity (1 and 2 are complementary hexes) so that it feels more permanent and fixed (line 1). And as you continue to return again and again (do more and more projects), it strengthens your resolve.

Doesn't look like it advising you to change.
