How should I resign Monday to the CEO?

Hexagram 42.5.6 > 24

Not sure how line 6 fits in as “a man in high position fails to bring benefits to those below and those in turn assail his reputation”. I am not in the high position here but on the same level as the other uncooperative analyst. Not sure what this is saying perhaps 24 returning to myself back to my town. Was thinking i-ching might say how I behave/speak but I am not really getting that from the lines. Don't really want to give 2 weeks notice either since its an at-will employment.

Will release me immediately or make me stay?

Hexagram 63.5 to 36

He gives his blessings and things will end. (36)

With kindness, mention that you're not earning enough where you are, and play it cool and easy-going.

I LOVE your interpretation! I would never have thought of this phrasing.
And you're most probably spot-on.
My take on this, in this case, is that he will 'cut off his nose to spite his face'.*
Maybe he'll ask you to leave immediately, even though this actually damages the business?

* for any non-English speakers:
"Cutting off the nose to spite the face" is an expression to describe a needlessly self-destructive over-reaction to a problem.

PS - on Monday there's a full moon! Very apt for a resignation.

Thanks diamanda. Playing it cool sounds like a good plan but I feel like if I mention salary he will try to throw more money at me to stay so I feel like if just be honest that might be better. Will prolly say I accepted a position elsewhere even though I like the company since the current atmosphere is not conducive for me to succeed. Hopefully he is able to get the point and doesn't ask me a ton of questions :/

I take he will probably question the other uncooperative analyst after I leave face to face. Maybe boot him out since he was planning on it eventually.

Actually, going to give my resignation in the morning so there is a possibility to just leave that day asap. But didn't know full moon is apt for a resignation - interesting.
