Hello community! I've recently gotten myself involved with a person trying to start a business for a product I care deeply about; however, due to economic circumstance, he has been unable to find an investor to start his endeavor, and so, I have taken it upon myself to assist in this effort to think of ways to find investors or raise capital on his own. I've been at a loss recently as to how to approach the situation, as financial situations are rarely simple and I'm running short on ideas, and so, I asked the Oracle, "how can I look for an investor for ___?" and received hexagram 64, no changing lines. What might this mean? I take it as meaning that I should be patient until circumstances are more stable, or make efforts to stabilize it before beginning my search. What insights do you have? Blessings, Corwin.

It seems like you're the fox on ice in the middle of the river. You can't stay in the middle of the river. To get your tail wet would be misfortune. So you have to continue the crossing. But you have to be cautious. The ice could crack, there could be soft spots. You must cross carefully.

Then think of a fox and a fox character. Some say the fox is a sly character. I think of the fox as having good survival instincts. He will do whatever needs to be done to survive.

My experience with it meant a circle coming back around. Only it was a chance for a new beginning within that same circle. If that makes sense. There would be changes made.

Its been said not to take your own direction, to build up strength, build up the harvest. But I can't figure out quite why it says that. I mean if you're on ice in the middle of a river, doesn't seem like you would have much time to wait, stay, and build up strength. Perhaps its a warning not to look like a sly fox to your friend or the investor. To make sure everyone is in agreement. Does your friend know you are helping? And is he ok with you helping him find a new investor? There's many ways the ice could crack. Its like getting all your ducks in a row and covering every angle.

So I'm thinking for you it must mean not to burn any bridges, not to count your chickens before they hatch. But to continue in the direction you're going while being cautious who you're going into business with. Cautious
with Who else you will be working with.
Making sure everything is capable, in working
order. Everything has to be in it's proper
places and everyone has to be in their proper
places. One small crack in the ice could turn
out to be a disaster. So walk softly til you get
to the other side.

There's also a warning not to brag about the
product or the profit. That can bring a bit of
misfortune and is like soaking your tail. The
only other idea that comes to mind is, are you
sure the product is ready? It seems the
product itself may need some work or
addition to have it ready. The picture looks
like a pot of food, but its not ready to be put
on the fire for cooking. Either the fire is not
ready or more needs to be put in the pot.

Come to think of it... You need an investor. I
suppose that can also symbolize "more
needing to be put in the pot" how about more
than 1 investor?

I have no idea how much or little that helps. But it bumps you back up for others to add their experience.

Hi,
There are two foxes in 64, the old experienced one and the younger less experienced. In the context of your situation, it might mean that you need to look around to find an old fox, someone that might be an expert maybe forfinding investors and do the matching. In the same line goes the text of the 64 image. Differentiate goals and roles.

Make a good proposal and look for them. ... and don't give up. The guy that launch amazon, in his attempt to find investors had failed , because they found his idea not of any worth. 64 is open. I assume those investors declined the amazon guy had some :brickwall: moments. . In some ways, 64 is about be watchful of your step but not lose sight of the bigger view

Good luck.

Daniels, h64:
Wait and prepare for an important change.

Nigel Richmond writes:
Here the personal self has withdrawn from both inner and outer activity (lines 4 and 6) and we are in the peace of inactive feeling (lines 2 and 5). This uninvolvement and quiet feeling cones at the end of a cycle of involvement and the common name of the hexagram is "before completion".

Before completion. Success.
Little fox. Crossing the ice. Tail in the water.
No chosen direction is favourablenow.

Comments:
No chosen direction means not starting something new - for to do that we choose. The tail is in the water because the crossing is not yet complete and it is by keeping our choosing mind frozen that we can complete what we have been engaged in ( when this becomes liquid the tail gets wet). So the success is in completing (the crossing) and the little fox is he who is learning to take advantage of his circumstances.

I think your interpretation was right, wait a little until things align.

On a sidenote, the hexagram consists of two letters, O and H, so maybe investor from OHio, OklaHoma ?
Also it does resemble railway tracks - railroad company? Transport, railroad engine/car manufacturer?
