How to get the best response from someone? 43 unchanging.

I asked the I Ching, how to approach someone to get the best possible response from them? I got a 43 unchanging. At first thought on the symbolism, I thought it meant 'don't even try'.

However, on reading the texts for the image and judgement, I got confused. It is pretty complex. Can someone help me decipher it? In the context of the speech (or email) not having a fixed agenda. It is on enquiring about the work they do, and along those lines.

you state whatever you feel you need to say clearly and decisively being careful not to arouse resistance through an aggressive attitiude. 43 is very much about speaking out your own truth but not 'resorting to arms'.

Very often when one does this a seperation takes place if the other cannot accept your truth, hence I think there is danger in 43 always...and i think Wilhelm even says it is a 'glorious danger'. Glorious I guess because theres a freedom in it because you are being authentic and if they don't like that they can go. This probably isn't an answer recommending compromise, something needs to be said. Just say it. This is all about making announcements, telling like it is, maybe saying what you require, you just have to speak your truth on it, no games.

A very clear answer IMO. Speak out. It doesn't promise that you get what you want yet still you need to speak out. Thats my take.

Wow, thanks Trojan. This is exactly the dilemma I am facing. Yes it does involve speaking my truth, and also is controversial and may arouse antagonism. I was afraid that speaking my 'truth' will result in alienation or brushing away, which is a huge risk for me, because I dont want to be received negatively.

I had an issue with an old troublesome client today, he is asking about website files 7 years old that are useless now. He never upgraded and is asking me to send them, I explained they were not even safe to send. I explained as politely as possible but firm.

I asked what I need to know about the situation hexagram 43 Unchanging. Your comments really clarified my position, " tell it like it is"
