I am just full of question lately

I asked about my romantic future and got 51 to 16,not exactly the most auspicious, but not really bad either, depending on the interpretation I use. The thing is I have been going back through old readings, the ones I wrote down and on here and I found this same reading before, oddly enough when I asked what X was looking for in a relationship. At the time I did not do much with it, it seemed an odd response. Its just a weird coincidence. And I am still not sure what this means, in either context. Both of these hexes give me fits in interpreting. I think the moving line says I will go through a shock, but be better for it, but I have no idea what the rest of it is. Any ideas???

I'll answer two ways.

51.1 is a 'good' line. It's auspicious. It talks about a shaking up that frightens first of all, and then makes you laugh, and the whole thing is fortunate. It would seem you have a pretty exciting romantic future.

Secondly, put the two parts of your story together, and what do you get? You ask what your romantic future will be like, and you get 51.1. You asked what X was looking for in a relationship, and you get 51.1. Put it together, and you get: "Your romantic future is what X is looking for." Pretty shocking! LOL

So does that mean my future is with X, or just that I am going to find in someone else what he is looking for? Admittedly, I was hoping it meant the first. But when I tried to ask for clarification, I got a line that Dening translates as stop checking on your progress, so I think I was being smacked in the forehead, LOL.

I would still like some better insight into these 2 hexes by themselves. I have gotten both a few times over the past few months and don't have a good grasp of either, especially 16. I don't panic at 51 anymore, I have seen that sometimes it can be more of a surprise than a shock, but I am still a little wary of interpreting it and 16 baffles me completely. Its usually translated as enthusiasm, but I have learned that a lot of the hexes are not what they sound like.

Well, how old was that old reading?

If you drew 51.1 for both within a day or two of each other, I think it would be pretty significant. Otherwise, probably not. Maybe the Yi's trying to shake you up on this whole issue, no matter whether you're asking about his future or your own.

For me, what's valuable about your response to what I posted before is the truth that came out of it: you like him; you like the idea of him and you together. From where I'm sitting, that knowledge is more valuable than knowing the future. The future's so uncertain. Knowing your own heart, though - that's value.

Actually the readings did come within a couple of days of each other. I have known my own heart for awhile. I know what I want, its just a matter of waiting to see if I get it. Or of getting something else and recognizing that that is probably for the best. I have a really hard time with this not imposing your will thing. I was always taught you could get anything you wanted if you just wanted it bad enough and tried hard enough. I was taught to never accept defeat. In my head, I know that sometimes you can do everything right and still lose, but the other was ingrainded from childhood, and I am having difficulty reconciling the two.

That's true of a lot of things, but often not true in relationship. In relationship, there's this other person who might not want the same thing you do lol.
