Well I don't know.

When I'm passive IC says get out there. When I'm active IC says withdraw. Perhaps I'm continually missing the place between the inbreath and outbreath...

I got 33.2 > 44 for job repsonse today which sounded more colourful.

I asked again as to why exactly I should retreat and got 44 unchanging. Feeling a tad ticked off, I asked if I could have another reason why I should retreat? 39 unchanging.

On another job application I have an interview set up for next week I asked for a comment and recieved 59.2 > 20 which I saw as positive. So, I'm going for that one even if it does sounds less "sexy" than the last and even though it's somewhat vague.

I feel Iike grasshopper on meltdown right now. At the same time, I don't want to make mistakes of the past anymore which is why I'm tryin to act on the advice, but its damned difficult. I guess this is all the more reason to stick with it.

Does IC have a sense of humour? I ask that as I get the distinct impression that it does. Or whatever force is channelled through this system of knowledge. If it is our future selves then they must be having a high old time of it.

future high 5.

at least someone is having a good time.:)

I find it can be tricky with the ic because space is curved, and i can't see all the particulars which make a divination so. space is curved is another way of saying "i don't know". when i figure out what the ic was saying, i often have a little laugh, because it was, indeed, so small. a small thought, found in the future, just a dot that connects another dot, when recognized, can be funny.

your readings may just be little pin lights around job issues, that require separating all the emotional flotsam that comes with consulting the ic.

i mean, we are asking about a job, the job is a no go, but our entire emotional future is secretly embedded in the question and it can take a day or two to sort that out.

i had a dream about lise last night. someone online threw her a curve ball and she made all these great video posts on onlineclarity that were really spectacular, one about the nordic gods in particular that was breathtaking and hilarious.

but 33 line 2, securing with hide, keeping it fast, how does that relate to your question. is it saying you will not be able to get loose from the job?

Well said, Hollis.

Topal, don’t you just love/hate Yi when it does that? Or perhaps, when we do that to ourselves? What Hollis said makes a lot of sense to me: “your readings may just be little pin lights around job issues, that require separating all the emotional flotsam that comes with consulting the ic.”

I don’t know whether Yi has a sardonic sense of humor or if it just takes a vacation once in awhile, or, if there’s something it’s pointing to which is far out of our visual range finder; such as when the moon eclipses the sun (which isn't very far from 44's meaning).

Whatever the reason, it seems something is blocking your advancement at this time; maybe something Yi tries to draw your attention to which is not appearing on your conscious radar.

In any case, there may be a little tip or clue in the fan yao (44.2), concerning the first job you mentioned. ‘Fish in the tank, does not further guests’ could refer to something in particular that is affecting you in a personal way, like possibly wanting that job for a reason which stirs up your passion. Not that that’s a bad thing; though some would say that anything concerning 44 is to be avoided. I don’t agree with that point of view, as I believe passion often holds our creative potential.

All that said, Yi’s council appears to be steering you away from investing too much concern in these matters at this time. Maybe Yi would rather your attention be on something bigger and/or more subtle. That's what I get from your 59-20 reading.

I see 33.2 > 44 as about holding on, and 59.2 > 20 as about letting go. Holding on to the first job, and letting go of the second.

Hi Hollis, Bruce,

Well, I did a bit of research on the company in the last few hours and it's listed as having an affiliation to Scientology - in whatever degree I don't know. This is definitely not my bag (to say the least). Incredible. These guys get into all kinds of businesses.

You're right about the emotional flotsam Hollis. I'm still very far from calming the "restless heart." I guess I will, in time.

As to 44. I've had this a lot in the last few months in matters where I needed to let go.

Bruce: "I believe passion often holds our creative potential." Hmm. I don't know. In the sense that it can usher in the new from the old via the expression of that passion I'd agree with you. But I see passion in terms of sensual craving as opposite to creativity and more entropic. I see 44 as the ultimate temptation and seductress which you need to experience once in a while in order to learn, right? Boy can it be wonderful but the come-down is shocking. It's like the Goddess Kali has come for a candle-lit dinner and you're the main course!

Maybe it's just the word that is confusing. I am passionate about reading but we know that that's not so dangerous as being passionate about someone who isn't passionate back. It so often means taking and possessing for me - even in very subtle ways.

As to passion as an activity where you just have to pursue it, where it's part of your highest ideal and destiny, your joy and fulfilment - tapping into the REAL you, where no harm is done to another then yes, passion of that nature is no longer passion, per se - it IS creativity expressed isn't it?

What I need is to do find a job I'm passionate about! But then that's what we all want and "want" is not the issue here. What do I need in order to learn? (sigh)

Hello Ewald,

Yes I was leaning towards that possibility at one point. But now with more information about the roots of the first job your reference to 33.2 takes on a slightly more disturbing quality:

"A very strong attachment. Efforts to break loose will not succeed."

IF I took it up...Yikes!

And with 59.2 takes on a more positive tone for me:

"The situation is dissolving, which is unsettling. One rushes for support to deal with this. One's aversion to the situation will go away."

In other words, the energy in this situation is dissolving so taking the support offered in this job while it may not be THE job the action of getting things moving might help me to create opportunites by releasing mental blocks about the whole thing and getting to the job intended? (interesting website you have there Ewald)

"I got 33.2 > 44 for job repsonse today which sounded more colourful."

Hex 33.2 suggests that this company will hold you fast, when you wish to retreat, to resign, then you will have problems because they are going to get you to sign a binding contract.

Hex 44 says it all, the company is powerful, you should not join this company because there are hidden dangers involved.

"On another job application I have an interview set up for next week I asked for a comment and recieved 59.2 > 20 which I saw as positive."

Hex 59.2 to stop feeling jobless, you should go for this job. Make an effort here.

Hex 20 says to take a good look at this job and understand what it is about, then you can make the right decision

Hi Topal,

Sometimes it's not straightforward to see how exactly a response from the Yi relates to your question. I think your interpretation is indeed correct, taking it to be about the situations, with the first job holding on to you too much, and the second as a letting go or dissolving of your current situation, where that job is your support.

I noticed how 44 unchanging comes up pretty often in situations with employers. One is dependent on the employer for a job (the employer is the "strong woman"), and one cannot win this employer over to one's own side (by "marrying the woman").

Passion isn't only directed toward sexuality, is it? As you've said, you can be passionate about reading - and learning, art, life, expression, you name it; if the heart is involuntarily drawn to it, it is passion. In your words: "What I need is to do find a job I'm passionate about!"

I do not think that is wrong. However, a broader view (20) may lighten (59) the sense of dissatisfaction, which may be driving your passion. You started your thread with a great observation, how Yi seems to move us in the opposite direction from our current extreme. Extremes in anything never seem to work out well. If you look at this from a higher vantage (20), you'll lighten up (59).

What I mean is, I think that our sexual energy imbues everything we do. The key result of that energy flow depends on the intent perhaps. It can be potentially pure creative energy when its working as it should, or inverted into an entropic action when it's blocked. Which then leads me back to finding a job that fulfils me and allows me to express my true nature - whatever that is!

Yes, I'm sure that's what I need to do. Thank you for your input Bruce. And to WF, Hollis and Ewald.

Food for thought indeed. Taking a broader view on that radar...
