I had a 'strange' experience with the YI recently. A couple of day's ago I did a consult and got 11.1.6. to 18. Yesterday I did a new consult and got again 11.1.6 I was asking a question concerning social relations and introversion in the first consult. In the consult yesterday I was asking, accordingly the advice from Hilary in her course, 'wath do I have to know'. I know I was internal again concerned with the same matter as a couple of days ago. So I was very amazed getting the same answer. I understand the Gua and the particulary lines, buth can't see how the comments of 1 and 6 understand together. Is it to understand as 'if you don't do 1 you get 6? What line is dominant? What is the connection? Should appreciate some help. Thanks.

hi jiang
I stopped at your posting a few times now. Interesting that you got the same answer twice, but we learn nothing about the question and the situation that brought it forth. Hard to explain ...

Fine with me, but no question, no answer; no coin without a reverse side.

11 in social settings is a natural occurrence. People hang with those they're comfortable with, who are most likely people comfortable with themselves.

Conversations tend to run in cycles, busily chatting, and then it seems to fall apart, and the people in the group sort of look around - probably feeling a tad less at ease than only moments ago. It's a natural social cycle, and it keeps everyone circulating, rather than always huddling up with the same few people.

So I think it's saying to relax with yourself, and then with some others, and when things appear to fall apart, don't worry about what others think of you, just look after your own peace.

I don't recall where I heard this, but it became my little social mantra for awhile, to set me free in (not from!) society.

"You wouldn't worry what people think about you if you knew how seldom they did."

It's potentially liberating. :)

Just curious, Jiang, are you an Aquarius?

Thanks for your reaction Meng, this makes sense to me!
Your little social mantra is something to keep in mind! :)
I'm capricorne. Do you have also an idea in what order to read the 1 and the 6?
Thanks :bows:

An inhibited Capricorn? I learn something every day. lol

I read from the bottom up, in the same order as the lines were created (plants grow upward). I personally give equal value to each line, and view contradicting lines as being context specific. Just as when you explain something to someone, you might include in the same explanation more than one "what if?" scenario.

However, some do use various methods of prioritizing and even eliminating conflicting lines. Makes no sense to me but whatever works.
