I have been in a long distance relationship for over 6 years and our communication is infrequent. However, I am swept up when he comes into my life, however brief that may be. But it is now time to ask how much longer this can go. I asked the IC What are B's intentions? I received the ansver Abundance, with moving line 3, followed by Shock. I am confused about what my learning is in this. Feedback welcome!

Perhaps he feels a pressing need to keep his focus on what he is already doing.

"I asked the IC What are B's intentions? I received the answer hex 55.3 > 51."

Hex 55.3 it seems that he has problems of some kind that are causing him great troubles, so that is why he cannot see/contact you for the moment.

Hex 51 something important will happen in perhaps a few months time (March?) that will literaly shake his world up. Whatever it is will bring him back to reality and thoughts of you because some obstacle will be removed, it will then give him the freedom to see/contact you again, plus he will be in a much happier frame of mind.

Your commentary has been most welcome...

Thank you both for your insight into this situation. I am inspired to learn more about the IC. Having an objective viewpoint enables one to see thngs from a less attached perspective. I am curious about the significance of Shock. Could Shock be a positive as well as a negative outcome? His father is not well and perhaps Shock is associated with his condition.

I also asked the IC about MY intentions with B and received an answer which is spot on - Limitation 3/4/6 changing to 1 The Creative. It seems to reflect my wish to be in partnership with B in the long term.

Further clarification on the 3rd changing line of Hex 55 requested by a senior member:

The third line, undivided, shows its subject with an additional screen of a large and thick banner, through which at midday he can see the small Mei star. In the darkness he breaks his right arm, but there will be no error.
The situation is evolving slowly, and Yin (the passive feminine force) is gaining ground.

What does "he breaks his right arm" mean? Would I be on the right track by thinking it means there is some limitation which needs to be healed before progress is made? And what is the significance of the small Mei star? The future is bright, but there are obstacles to overcome?

There is no brightness shed by the Mei (stardust, milky way). It's barely enough to focus.
The old myth goes that from deep in a well or tunnel, or during an eclipse, the stars can be seen at midday. But they don't light the way. They merely orient you, give you focus.
That isn't enough, of course, and much more attention needs tp be paid to watching your step.
There's a bit of a pun with "right" arm here. The left, zuo3, is the backup arm, the fallback arm, the spare arm (it's played with more at 36.3). The right arm is the main arm, not the first one you want to lose the use of. He really needs to focus on what he is doing here.

Perhaps he really DOES need to focus on an important issue which would mean I would be a distraction to his situation, and perhaps why I don't see him as often as I would like. I am giving him the benefit of the doubt here.
Your clarification that the mei star only emits a dim light which does not light the way with giving him focus. And double whammy that it's his main arm that is compromised. Yikes! Does this reflect our relationship or the bigger picture in his life?
Lastly, your advice that I have to watch my step - would it suggest B is still unsure about me or how I might fit into his life? Or does it mean HE has to watch HIS step?

I guess the bottom line to this is wanting to know what his intentions are with me.

I'd suggest that the bottom line is simply that you cannot expect his full attention now.
It wouldn't be fair. Maybe the best advice is lots of patience.

Thank you Bradford. I will let the issue go and take it up again when the time is right.

Yesterday I found an earlier reading I'd forgotten about which relates to this thread on my relationship with B. I had recently bought an IC book so had asked a question regarding my relationship with B using the coin method. The question was "Is it worth waiting for B? The result was 57/1.2.3.4.5.>21. That's quite alot of changes here.
Question: What does this mean and is it less relevant than the question I had asked clarification with which started this thread as it was cast earlier?

Feedback welcome.
