Sorry I know my question makes hard to interpret the result. Could anyone tell me the iching is saying yes or no? Please!

The gua 52, mountain on mountain, is inauspicious both for love and marriage. In the case of love, it simply means that this attempt at love is one-sided and it involves problem of communication and watching what one ought to say. Although 53 is good for love, it only comes through proceeding very slowly and avoiding any rash and or impetuous actions. It appears to me that the, yes, the effort at love is over, but that eventually you will find what you want, if you are careful. Perhaps you weren't so careful with this current relationship which appears finished.

I think it says not whether there is a chance or not, but how to go for now, seems to be warning you to keep your ambitions within modest bounds, it seems to stress the need to quiet the mind, not to get carried away with thoughts of what might be, or with fears of what might not be, though of course the heart has its own ways and can't be quieted, we must at least try to observe its flights without becoming swept away altogether in its movements, and then its really important to keep words and deeds within strict limits, discipline is needed in this matter, if it is to bud, and then allow space for the gradual development of a relationship. Anything that happens quickly is not to be trusted, its good if its slow and perhaps uncertain, even if you've been together for some time, if your own heart leaps too quickly, this in itself can put paid to a potential good course of development, one definitely doesn't want a relationship that 'shoots up like a swamp plant'.

I Ching does not "say" yes or no. Flipping a coin is much quicker and far less ambiguous. If you truly want to sort through the issues at hand, ask IC about the lessons of what you've been through in this endeavor, and/or about the consequence of some action that you're considering.

"Yes, but..."

My attempt to make Yi say something like yes or no...

Gen inside (52, 53): this is you.

Gen outside (52): "Gen is the trigram of northeast, all things achieve the completion then achieve the commencement, therefore it is said Bring achievement in Gen."; "For bringing them to an end and commencement there is no more extensive than Gen."; "Gen denotes cease."; "Gen denotes to desist." (Shuo Gua)

Xun outside (53): "It is orderly in Xun, Xun corresponds to Southeast, orderliness denotes all things are clean at the same time."; "For bending them about there is nothing more quickly than wind."; "Xun denotes penetration." (Shuo Gua)

Gen outside says "yes", Xun outside says "but" (and you complete, with the aid of the Shuo Gua)... ;)

Hint: Gen closes the cycle in the Later Heaven arrangement of trigrams. Hex 53 naturally follows hex 52, so the dao of completion is fully realized before going on. "Stop them. And so Stilling follows, which means stopping. / Things cannot end with standstill, and so Gradual Progress follows. Gradual progress means advancing." (Xu Gua)

Sounds to me that you have to keep still.

"Keeping his jaws still.
The words have order.
Remorse disappears."

and if you have something to say to your partner, you might have to think and re-think about the possible consequences.

Good luck

Hexagram 52 means Contemplating the situation and not being in a hurry to do something about it. Nothing is happening now. Be still and meditate about things. Apparently the other person is not worried about it and is in no big hurry

LINE 5 suggests to think before you speak. You might love to talk and be a fast talker but sometimes that can get you into trouble.

Hexagram 53 means If you go by the book and don't force things. Take it one step at a time. There will be gradual progress and it's favorable to marry. The relationship doesn't look like it's over. Though it might look like it's going to take a long time to reach your goal do not abandon your goal. Progress step by step and you will get what you want. Timing is also important. Cheers!

The i ching doesn't answer yes or no, it gives advice. From this reading, I don't think the relationship is over however. But only you and the other person can know that of course, and you'll have to talk to the other person in the relationship if you want to know if it's over. What you both do to work through things will determine whether it continues or ends. I think that 52.5 advises that you need to be still, not that you shouldn't do anything but that you need to calm yourself and be very measured in what you say and don't say. Don't say any more than is necessary and don't push. Think about what you're saying before you say it. Don't be impetuous or impulsive in what you say and do. Don't say anything out of anger, or because you assume it is so. Let your words and actions come from a calm, relaxed centre. You need to have a certain amount of self-restraint, at least for the present moment. Be gentle and don't say things that shouldn't be said.
