Your I Ching Reading

what really is the situation in this house regarding mold?

Your reading resulted in the following hexagrams:

changing to
28 47
28. Ta Kuo / Preponderance of the Great

EXCESS
Ta Kuo suggests to us a beam that is weak. There will be advantage in moving under its conditions in any direction whatever; there will be success.

GREAT SYMBOLISM
The trigram representing trees hidden beneath that for the waters of a marsh for Ta Kuo. The superior man, in accordance with this, stands up alone and has no fear, and keeps retired from the world without regret.

THE LINES
The third line, undivided, shows a beam that is weak. There will be evil.
KING WEN'S EXPLANATION OF THE HEXAGRAM
Ta Kuo shows the great one (undivided lines) in excess.

In the beam that is weak we see weakness both in the lowest and the topmost lines.

The strong lines are in excess, but two of them are in the central positions. The action of the hexagram is represented by the symbols flexibility and satisfaction. Hence it is said, there will be advantage in moving in any direction whatever; yea, there will be success.

DUKE OF CHOU'S EXPLANATION OF THE LINES
The evil connected with the beam that is weak arises from this, that no help can be given to the condition thus represented.
UPPER TRIGRAM: Tui
CONCEPT: Joyful, Marsh, Complacent
QUALITIES: Happy, Gossipy, Slanderous, Joy, Critical, Quarrelsome, Laughing, Smiling, Harmonious, Pleasurable, Contentment, Low Lying Water, Marsh, Soft, Sorceress

PART OF THE BODY: Thigh

47. K'un / Oppression (Exhaustion)

DISTRESSED / OPPRESSION / WANT OF ROOM
In the condition denoted by K'un there may yet be progress and success. For the firm and correct, the really great man, there will be good fortune. He will fall into no error. If he make speeches, his words cannot be made good.

GREAT SYMBOLISM
The trigram representing a marsh, and below it that for a defile, which has drained the other dry so that there is no water in it, form K'un. The superior man, in accordance with this will sacrifice his life in order to carry out his purpose.

KING WEN'S EXPLANATION OF THE HEXAGRAM
In K'un we see the strong lines covered and obscured by the weak.

We have in it the attribute of perilousness going on to that of satisfaction. Who is it but the superior man that, though straightened, still does not fail in making progress to his proper end.

For the firm and correct, the really great man, there will be good fortune: this is shown by the central positions of the strong lines.

If he make speeches, his words cannot be made good: to be fond of arguing or pleading is the way to be reduced to extremity.

UPPER TRIGRAM: Tui
CONCEPT: Joyful, Marsh, Complacent,
QUALITIES: Happy, Gossipy, Slanderous, Joy, Critical, Quarrelsome, Laughing, Smiling, Harmonious, Pleasurable, Contentment, Low Lying Water, Marsh, Soft, Sorceress,

If your mind wasn't in a state of panic or desperation, and the Yi spoke more literally to your question, I'd get the heck out of there.

Hi Meng...thanks for your reply; youre saying it is a literal answer to get out of here?

I did another question asking "what effect on our health would moving have?" I got 10.4.5 to 41

I try not to get into predicting. I said "If your mind wasn't in a state of panic or desperation, and the Yi spoke more literally to your question." If your mind isn't in the right place to receive a proper answer, Yi tends to speak to your state of mind, rather than answer a direct question.

I think this could mean to tread cautiously, not panicking, but to be resolute in finding out if the house does pose a health risk. Perhaps a call to the dept of health in your area may prompt a free inspection. Mold is detectable.

But again, I can't dismiss the emotional impact that this may be having on you as being included in your answer, meaning to turn down the intensity in your mind, if it is amped up too high. Not that it isn't serious enough to find out for sure, but it may prove unnecessary if tested, and you may have to tread elsewhere to find the cause of illness.
