Near the end of winter my beloved cat Osiris (who we fondly nicknamed Kiki) passed away due to kidney failure. My boyfriend and I loved him very much, he was the sparkle in our eyes and even thinking about him makes me want to cry sometimes.

It was hard to get over the loss. Our house felt barren without him. We gave him a burial plot in our garden, the night of the full moon when he died.

Well, about 2 months went by and I finally felt ready to ask the iching when we would get another cat. The answer was 51, shock. I didn't know what to make of that so I just kind of set it aside.

Not but a few weeks later my boyfriend and I were lounging in the bedroom and I got the urge to look at the animals on the local SPCA website, and my boyfriend and I discussed what it would be like to bring one of them home. We weren't really looking to get one, but it was progress to play around with the idea and decide what we would and wouldn't want. We decided we'd probably want a kitten, and it would preferably be male so it wouldn't but heads too much with our other cat who is female.

Well, the next day I was browsing the Free section of craigslist, as I often do, and I saw an ad for Free kittens. I opened the ad and right in the plethora of pictures of this little kitten family was a kitten that looked just like our Kiki. To top it off, it was male, and the owners lived close by. I left the ad up on the screen and let my boyfriend kind of find it for himself. His reaction was the same as mine; we were in love with this kitten and we felt it was a little too perfect to ignore.

So after debating for a few days we made plans to pick him up. We're really into astrology so we decided to see what his chart would look like, and we counted back the 8 weeks from the day the ad was posted (as it said the kittens were 8 weeks old) and discovered that kitten was born the day that kiki died, on the full moon.

When we did finally get the kitten home he melted our hearts, he was so sweet, so cuddly. He was unfortunately covered in fleas so we had to give him 2 baths, which was tough for everyone, but luckily he's free of them now and growing and doing very well. We named him J'zargo, but we call him wiggles most of the time.

My question, then, for the Iching was this;

Is Wiggles a reincarnation of Kiki?

Hexagram 50.4.5 changing to 57

The hexagram 50 being about transformation, I think says a lot.

The line 4,

A leg of the caldron gets bent.
The duke's meal is spilled,
and he gets wet.
Misfortune.

I feel could represent the death. This line also changes to 18 (repair), which I think is somewhat supportive of the idea.

Line 5,

The caldron has yellow ears and metal carrying rings.
It is beneficial to persist.

I feel could possibly indicate the auspicious introduction of our new friend wiggles.

Also, as far as the relating hexagram 57, I read on the forum here that it can indicate something fitting right into place, almost as an extension of you or the situation, seamless.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this reading they'd like to share? I also came across a thread here about how animals of the same species might have a spiritual link or karma, I wish I knew what thread it was or who said any of it, but I know there was a story about a man who lost his wife that absolutely loved black labs, and a black brought an apple to his gate in front of him, and set it down and walked away. It might've been on her birthday or their anniversary, I don't remember. He had never seen this dog before or since and it was a small town of which he was familiar with most of the animals.

Not only did all of this really fall into place for us with the kitten's seemingly impeccable timing and ease of integration, but the he does this little 'hug' and pull/squeeze thing to your hand that our other cat did which my boyfriend found very special about him.

I realize the iching could be just describing our situation with the cat, but the question wasn't 'please describe the situation' it was 'is wiggles a reincarnation of kiki'. And I realize this is asking the question under the assumption that reincarnation exists to begin with. I'm really just open to hearing anyone's ideas about what this could mean... It's an interesting reading!

It depends on whether Kiki had lived out his six lives already. After that he attains Purvana.

I like it. Yes.

Hey...that was my story. It was my partner's father...a kind of 'father in law'. He and his wife had Labradors for many years. For some time they had 2 black labs. Unfortunately his wife got cancer and died after a short illness. I think she died in the May of that year. Not so long after the dogs passed away too with cancer. It was a very sad time for him. I think the following year, can't recall exactly...on her birthday in September an unknown black lab turned up at his gate, dropped an apple and left ! I might have got some details wrong about the occasion but that was the gist ....must be an old thread you saw that in. Nice to be reminded of it. Yes it was a small village in the countryside and he had no idea whose dog is was.

I think the dog was a messenger maybe. I've read discussions of whether animals have souls. The answer generally seems to be (from those who claim to have special insight, shamans or whatever) that animals don't have individual souls but group souls. So for example in the group Soul of Black Lab....any black lab would embody that greater soul of the archetypal God of Black Lab. Make sense ? It makes sense to me.

I see it working like in the story of Daniel and the Lion. Daniel removes a thorn from a lions paw. When he is in the lions den waiting to be killed the lions don't kill him. So the overall Lion Soul remembers every single thing done to every lion....because they are all one lion.

With your cat yes it seems to be a direct connection between your relationship with Osiris and the new kitten. Soul of Cat....the greater Cat soul or Cat Being returns to you the love you gave to it.

I can't say this is a fact of course, not even with the reading, but I feel the reading favours it. Cat found a new vessel, a new body to return to you.

Funny, last night I kept getting visions of cats and have felt I need a cat for some time. I can't have one as I live too high up and it wouldn't be able to get out...and I like a cat to be free to come and go when she likes.

I love your pictures. We have a Clarity Pets Corner....will put this link in

ps I think I have got muddled about lions and Daniel....did I mix up two stories ? Well you get my drift.

Animals usually know who will be kind to them because they carry a group memory perhaps.

BTW I just looked more closely at the 2 pics of the 2 cats.....they are very much alike even beyond the obvious physical attributes of colour, they just seem like the same being

BTW it was so nice for me to be reminded of that story of the dog and the apple. It brings it back to me....a bit like a forum apple

That picture is perfect Sooo! Highly appropriate, thank you lol. He's even grey and doing the hug thing :)

Rosada thank you for such a great response!! I'm glad you recognized the story about the black lab and your father in law,, that whole thread was so interesting! I love that about this forum. I have also heard something about collective or group souls, one time from a documentary about plants having consciousness, and it being a more uniform, 'collective' field then our own. I definitely think there's something to that, although even with the iching it's difficult to confirm outside of our own direct experiences, as you've mentioned in your own words. And thanks for posting this thread in the pets section, I didn't know we had one, I'll have to check it out!

Btw, I can definitely appreciate what you said about how they just seem like the same 'being', because I think I know what you're talking about. It's something behind the eyes, a unique thing they've got going on there lol

either way, this reading has made me feel very fond of our kitten in a much deeper way. He doesn't mind the extra attention either lol

Thanks for the responses you guys. PS I actually had a dream last night that I checked the forum and this thread had several replies. Then l woke up and saw there were several replies! that was pretty cool :)

I'm glad you received it in the intended spirit. I'd selected a few others that were also with the Buddha figure, but none felt right until I found the gray one. It wasn't until after I posted it that I looked at your two images. Cats seem so natural with the Buddha.

I'm very sentimental when it comes to our beloved pets. I still talk to my Mojo and encourage him to wait for me. I think the love we share with them lives on in some form or another.

Rosada hasn't posted in this thread....it was I, Trojina with the black lab tale....unless there has been a bit of soul migration and Rosada's spirit entered my body...and I hers...and you picked up on it psychically...

No, just an error.? ..But quite an odd error since my name is above my posts and Rosada has been nowhere near the thread.

Strange times...Sometimes the forum is haunted

ohhh my goodness I'm so embarassed, sorry, I knew it was you Trojina, I really did! Yeah I'm sorry about that, I sometimes get names mixed up. I've found both yours and rosadas posts very helpful while browsing the forum these past few weeks and I have a problem sometimes getting people mixed up in my memories so it must have just slipped out. Right, lol, my mistake. Your responses were very helpful though Trojina and even if I did get the names mixed up, I'm thankful you took the time to comment. Won't be making that mistake again o_O And mercury's not even retrograde anymore lol ugh >_<
