I am in the process of interviewing for a role with a large company and I am not sure the role is for me as things aren’t quite clear on the project work. Even though I asked the hiring manager to clarify I feel like things are being left out from the conversation and something doesn’t feel right. Trying to juggle classes and work at the same time as well. So I consulted the I-Ching:

Is this the right role for me?
Hexagram 59.2.3.5.6 > 15

Line 2 – try to be objective here. Does this job support me in my long-term goals?
Line 3 – let go of any opinions or fears you have here
Line 5 – stay put where you are don’t go anywhere for now?
Line 6 – distance myself from alarming thoughts?

This is very much a reading where I want to look at the whole picture rather than focus too much on each line.

My impression is your life energies in general are kind of spilling out all over the place, to me it looks a kind of wild cast especially odd as the 15 is there all sensible and quiet and modest. Can you fit their specification or would bits of you hang out so to speak ?

I think it could fit you, I think it could even help you, it could be a means of coping with the rest of your life.

There's a strong horse for rescue in line 2, and in line 3 you are ready to hand yourself over to this. Line 5 is not to do with standing still, don't know where you got that idea from. Any translation shows the king dispersing his granaries, giving it all he's got , giving it all away. Line 6 shows distancing oneself from harm.

So the question I'm left with is this job a kind of rescue for you or is it itself actually something you need rescuing from.

59, wind over water, it's all blowing away fast, there's nothing to hold on to. Maybe you are trying to do the moderate thing (15) when your circumstances are just not pin downable ?

I can't tell from this if the job is the rescue or you really want to rescue yourself from the job.

There's no firm boundaries in 59 and I wonder if this job would spill over into everything you do ?

Thanks Trojina. I think I misunderstood Line 5 based off another source on Google. I am ready to hand myself over given the lack of growth in my current job, but at the same time I felt not everything was disclosed in my conversation with the HR person recruiting for the new role. I don't know if I would be able to cope given the hours required/travel and I would prolly have to drop my current class schedule given the jobs in the city. I don't necessarily need to be rescued from my current job, but I do need to move on eventually as there is no one to work with here. After reaching out to people on LinkedIn and doing further research, the role is very administrative and not a good for me. The recruiters are also not willing to move their in-person interview dates for me either so I will prolly call the whole thing off. While the company looks great on my resume, between the hours required, daily tasks, lack of clarity on project work, inability to move interview dates, and spill-over into my class schedule I think this is not a good fit.
