For me at the moment business is slow, all my friends are busy, things I have put into place are not quite ready to happen, information I need/want is not forthcoming - so I asked IChing

What is the reason for my present isolation

You said it, underlined. Things aren't ready to be open to your scrutiny, they are hidden, a sack tied up. Hmm I've thought alot about this line at different times when I've received it. There wasn't a whole lot I could do for better or for worse..kinda out of my hands.

I still think about it because I'm not sure why that sack is tied up. Its not like 50 the cauldron, I'm not sure anythings cooking..its just whatever is going on we can't get at it . Some areas of our lives perhaps have a strong destiny element and we can't see exactly whats going on in our own lives.

Seems to me this phase in your life will unfold as it unfolds but you can't see whats happening. No need to worry though, i think this phase was/is inevitable for reasons unknown to us mere mortals

Oh and i see you did ask the reason for your isolation and Yi tells you its a secret all tied up in a bag with a ribbon Humph !

'Some areas of our lives perhaps have a strong destiny element and we can't see exactly whats going on in our own lives'.Thks Trojan at the back of my mind I have been thinking it is meant to be how it is and I talked it over with a girlfriend yday and she said something like - 'we have to empty ourselves out first before we can start filling ourselves up again'. I guess that's exactly what it feel like a kind of emptiness inside. Blah!
It's helps to hear others understand and have been through the same things as me.

Trojan...that song!!!!!!!!!! lol. that brings back so many memories of my mother when I was a little girl.

Dear Melissa....yes, what Trojan says. 16 is also about preparation, providing for what is to come. Sometimes the most quiet and boring times come when things are shuffling around and ready to emerge...the tied up sack like an unborn child's womb....take heart and feather the nest. "don't quit before the Miracle happens" as they say.

Agreeing with Trojan and Bamboo here. Time to be patient and let things develop. Meanwhile, I recall Que Sera, Sera, came out about the time there was another classic hitting the charts and it wasn't long before the two combined and this lyric began circulating the school yards:

The song 'Que Sera' used to intrigue me as a child, i couldn't really work out what it meant..it was like that with alot of song lyrics. I'd sit in the back of the car when the radio was on wondering what the heck people were saying in their songs.

oops off topic but i think trying to figure out what these lyrics meant, and there were some really weird ones around at the time like in "Whiter shade of Pale" was a kind of training for trying to figure out what the heck the Yi meant lol

Hi Melissa,

There doesn't seem to be a reason for your isolation, other than you have closed up. Maybe it's because you don't feel interesting or worthwhile to share yourself with other people. Maybe being reticent is what you need most during this time. But if you're not happy in this place, you can certainly stir things up, develop new interests, have some fun with others.

Another thought is, maybe since your business is slow you are feeling like a failure, especially when you compare yourself to your friends, who seem to be busy, maybe too busy to take time to chat with you?

Me too! It was sung by Doris Day in one of this American soap operas. I not even understood English. But I was fascinated by the voice and the melody.
