Just starting out with I Ching and need some help with interpretation

This was the question I wrote down:

Dearest I Ching,
Please guide me in knowing what action to take next in regards to my Mother's health/situation. Thank you for your guidance and wisdom. - Mia​

I am using the yarrow sticks and received a kun that has several moving lines. Does that mean that I need to read the kun that it turns into or do I read the original one and pay special attention to the lines that are moving? I have the book from Wu Wei and am a little uncertain about what he meant by paying attention to the specific line (didn't know if he meant the line it turned into, or the original line). I'm not familiar with the notation of the lines except for describing it as:
Ch'ien (no. 1 kun) that turned into chien (no. 53). Please advise if you can. Thank you!

First write out the number of the hexagram you received, then the numbers for the moving lines, then a dash and then the number of the resulting hexagram.

Thus 1.1.2.4>53.

Then read the Judgement, Image and lines you received for the first hexagram.
Then read the Judgement and Image for the second hexagram. (Some people also get value from reading these lines too)

I read it as: Be ready for action (hexagram 1). Don't act unnecessarily (1.1), consult an informed person when you need help (1.2), beware of the risks and try to minimize them (1.4); and your mother's situation will gradually improve.
