Hi,

I really enjoy weightlifting, as it's very good for my mental health but my country just annouced another lockdown.
I asked the I Ching if they will open the gyms after January 17th (the supposed end of the lockdown).
Got Hexagram 39 unchanging, so it seems like it won't happen..

Then i asked if i should buy my own weights but it resulted in hexagram 4 also unchanging..
Would buying weights be foolish then?

With 04 unchanging, there's usually something you're not aware of.
Are there any new special regulations regarding postal services?
Could your job or your finances be at risk?
Could there be some opportunistic fraudsters who might profiteer with false trade?
(meng also means deceive, cheat)
I can't recall ever seeing 04 play out as 'foolish'.

Thanks for the reply.
Could your job or your finances be at risk? I have some money saved up as i'm saving for buying my place and moving out from my parent.
Could there be some opportunistic fraudsters who might profiteer with false trade? Could be, I planned to buy it from portal similar to Craigslist
.

Few days ago I asked about this issue I've also got hexagram 7 unchanging.

I see 4 uc as emphasizing that you would be doing this all on your own - no one else to advise you what equipment to buy and more importantly no one else around like there is at a gym to encourage you to keep up with your exercising. So all in all not a negative reading, just a heads up that you may not know what you're doing and will have to be dedicated to keeping it going. I think 7uc is a similar reading, you have to be the one in charge to keep all the impulses to run away from distracting your focus.

As a non-Yi response, I bought a weight lifting rack, barbell, weights and bench a couple years ago because I didn't want to pay for the gym anymore. Total thing cost about 400-500 USD but definitely has paid off bigly since I've been on lockdown since March more or less. So if you have the room for it then it might be worth considering that, you may just lose the social aspect of the gym post-lockdown. (I personally don't talk to anyone at the gym so I love it)

4uc sounds like what Rosada mentioned, depending on the equipment you can acquire (say its just dumbells or something) you could be in unfamiliar workout routines and territory. Maybe you can start Yoga or calisthenics routines?

Maybe 4uc is pointing to the benefits in switching up your weight training routines by throwing in other practices (like body weight/yoga stuff). I've found doing a mix of traditional strength training plus other practices rounds out everything nicely and helps to avoid injury.
