Longing to hear from my friend

Hi there,

I have not heard from my friend for a while. He had to move away suddenly with family several years ago. I was wondering if he ever wonders about me. I wonder about him a lot. I received:

Hexagram 58 Joy

Changing at Line one which says is good for harmonious communication

but then I received as a resulting hexagram number 47 which is oppression

Does this mean, perhaps that our communication lines are open and we could communicate effectively. I was going to send a letter. But then the oppression is something else I dont understand. Does that mean he is going through a hard time? I am not so maybe it is him? It is a warning not to get too close?

The sense of longing to hear from your friend - not hearing from your friend - this is the state of oppression referred to by hex 47, I think. Go ahead and communicate with him and you will see all your worries disappear.
