Hi all,

A fellow kombi lover is having a lot of trouble getting some awkard to get off bolts, mainly cause they have become rusted on. He has tried all different things so obviously the obvious is working.

What is the solution to loosening his bolts

Hex 30.1.6>62

Hmm not sure about this reading except that yes they are clinging like fire although Line 6 talks about the root of the problem.

thks if you can help with a crazy question - LIss

Clinging to flying bird suggest that the bolts can be freed. Also, Bradford's line 6 has the image of separation:

The sovereign takes advantage of emergencies to expedite
There will be commendations
And severed heads
Th captives were never his enemies
Not a mistake

An advertising card that I use for a bookmark is about Kroil for loosening frozen metal parts. A review at Amazon says:

Ford E250 van w/ 8 bolt wheels ... bolts & lugs rusted solid ... 350lb torque impact wrench wouldn't buge 'em. Tried WD, Liquid Wrench, PB Blaster, with success only after blowtorch heating and much effort. Bought some Kroil online to try. Sprayed on, waited 15 min. and the impact wrench spun 'em off no problem. I was only doing one wheel at a time so the Kroil was not in conjunction with the other penetrants.

I'm not sure what it means, but used to be an auto tech. When bolts are rusted in place, first try some sort of penetrating oil(WD, kroil, PB blaster) let soak a while, if it doesn't work, then use a propane torch(fire?). heat it really good, then spray with penetrating oil(It will smoke, this is fine). repeat this process many times, often this will help you break it loose.

If it doesn't work, then you may have to drill it and use an extractor(line 6 maybe, root it out?). use a drill bit smaller than the bolt diameter so you can drill without ruining the threads and use an extractor.
