Lost watch!

Hi everybody!

I just got a digital watch through mail order. I didn't even get a chance to wear it yet. I remember showing it to 2 or 3 guests.. people I trust (or at least I think I do!) I last remember having it in my living room, and then I believe I possibly carried it into my bedroom. I haven't seen it for 5 days. I have scoured dresser drawers, behind the dresser, under the dresser, shelves, just about everywhere it could have fallen. I really hope it wasn't stolen.

Where is the watch I just purchased?

This is interesting, as I was recording live music in my living room studio. I showed the watch to two people while we were recording. The image in the hex about making music and spontaneous emotion... could it be that one of the guests was caught up in emotion and spontaneously pocketed my watch? Or maybe the hex is saying I will never know. Ha. Anybody have any ideas? It would much very much appreciated.

Have you looked carefully under the bed (23)? If your bedspread goes down to the floor, put all of it on the bed before looking. If you sometimes put shoes or other items under the bed, check those items.

Do you have any pets? If so, that may be a clue. Also, check areas where you keep documents, a bit messy and chaotic...

Is it possible a friend (or pet) picked it up by accident with other documents? Just a thought in addition to the above.

Ugh. Thanks for your help, but I still can't find the watch. I have scoured everywhere, like three times. Oh well. Very strange.

I agree with you about the music connection with hexagram 16. Another member got 16 unchanging once about a lost hamster, here:

and the hamster was near a television set, a stereo system, and a PlayStation (all having to do with entertainment).

16.4 (from Hilary's translation)

23 can mean splitting apart or separating - combined with 16.4, at any point were you or anyone else gathering things up, sorting things into piles, rearranging things, or anything like that?

16.6 (Hilary)

16.6 - one possibility might be that it's in a dark spot, but I really don't know what this line means. Wilhelm's translation seems quite different from Hilary's, at least on the surface:

"Deluded enthusiasm.
But if after completion one changes,
There is no blame.

I found the watch!

I found the watch, yes!

It was in my dresser, in a cigar box (in a dark spot) where i keep cannabis pipes (entertainment). I think I put it there while i was quickly cleaning my bedroom (gathering things up.) So while it wasn't under the bed or in a shoe, it was in my bedroom inside a box!

Thanks for helping. That became fun in retrospect after I found the watch, haha!
